(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score The good thing is they have already done all chasis/suspension measurements and probably can start producing these sooner than usual. They just need to see who is seriously interested. Please vote if you are interested. They won't make specific springs to match up with FSD's, yellows or Bilstein's so don't ask. The Spec-R line on the gen2 have the highest spring rate available but still retain most of the stock comfort. The drop for gen2 guys are 1.2 and 1.1, perfect for most I would think. I love these springs but don't take my word for it; mrmonk7663 R3L3NTL3S jkups warlord skeurton Soto are a few that are riding on SWIFT and should be able to tell you guys more. Please do some research on SWIFT before making judgment. They take a lot time engineering/testing. They use a difference approach to developing their springs and create one of the best performance (and not lowering) springs on the market. When I had the spec r's I loved them. In normal daily driving they perform similar to stock in the terms of ride comfort but, when you push your car into a hard turn the car feels much more planted. One other thing I noticed was that when doing hard takeoffs the car wouldn't squat as much in the rear. Awesome spring and I would recommend that if you are in the market for springs that these need to be on the top of your list.

Would the drop be similar to the Gen 2? I want something with a moderate drop as I can't have my car slammed. What is the spring rate? As opposed to others like h&r, and eibach? Also what would pricing be for these? Very interested just want some more specifics.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Nothing has been developed yet, and honestly with such low interest I doubt they will make them. If they do, we don't know specifics till after they are made. I would guess they would be similar to gen2 spec though.

I wonder how much of a difference in the spring there would actually be. I have been tempted to buy the gen 2 springs and put them on the gen 1 to see how it works but would much rather have ones made specifically for the gen 1.

I can't think of one reason not to try out what you're suggesting. Any difference one might perceive as "needed" between the two (due to the small weight differences/weight dist. differences, etc.) would probably be more slight than the amount of difference between two springs that could feasibly come down to "driver preference" with regard to which is "best." Now, I certainly wouldn't ever suggest using the existing Gen2 springs (or ANY aftermarket spring, for that matter) with the OEM Gen1 dampers, but that's another issue entirely...

I just spoke to Swift. There is bad and good news. The bad new: Swift will most likely not make gen1 specific springs. The Good news: They are willing to test gen1 stock springs and see if they work properly and to their satisfaction. First Part of this is they need a local that has stock gen1 springs laying around to take to Swift. I will give the name of first person that PM's me to Swift <DO NOT jump gun and call them yourself; it might kill the chance of them even going further with this. The person that can give their stock gen1 spring for initial testing might also get test fitted with gen2 Swift springs < this part I did not get clarification on but assuming is the next step. The reason for this is because all their test springs go to Japan and does not come back. So all their data and shit is in Japan.

there isn't enough interest... I guess if people really want these will need to take a chance with the gen2 ones and see how it works out.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I didn't say no interest.. I said not enough. What do you want me to do? ...call Swift and tell them 8 people are interested..and besides no one has come forward with a gen1 for test fitting< They at least need that.

Besides I made this thread to help out. I'm not getting anything out of this.. IF there was indeed interest, someone would of already volunteered to have these test fitted

What's wrong with wanting them to work with FSD's? First off, if they're designed for stock dampers, they'll work for FSD's. The issue is the car is already lowered and doesn't really need to be lowered any more. If, however, they did lower the car, I'd still buy them and put on a set of their progressive spacer springy thingies to come back up to stock height AND have non-shitty springs. |

ok... Ill make a call and see what they can do with just the springs.. I'm thinking they would need a car soon after, though.. but we will see.. I'll PM you after I find out.

If they want to make a custom setup, they should include/recommend dampers to replace stock. | |

and they do recommend aftermarket shocks for greater performance (see their website). But they design their spring around stock strut dimension/capabilities..and the obvious intent of that is to have a larger customer spectrum, just like what every other company does. btw..They recommended Bilstein SP for the gen2

Finally made the move back to SoCal and went to Swift's wherehouse. They will need a gen1 to test fit the gen2 springs. If anyone is willing to make a trip down to Swift (Ontario Californis) and have the springs tested (most likely you will end up keeping a them for free) let me know (PM me). They will need to get all the measurements, corner weights, etc. Your car needs to have stock struts and springs. If we can't get someone that has stock suspension I will ask if having bilstein's or Koni's will work for testing purposes.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score MS3Zoom24 I will let you know what he says about the first week of April. Also it should be free cause it's test fitting but I will let you know on that as well. I doubt they will test fit it and take it off, that would be too much trouble.

Yeah that is correct, to see if the Gen 2 will fit on the Gen 1 correctly and within spec!

I'd be interested if they made a spring that does not bind / is not progressive in the front. From the pics of the genpoo spec-Rs they are both.
