Group Buy: Progress Rear Sway Bar

The Major differences that you will see with this Bar and others is the reinforced bracket. I believe Tri-Point has one in prototype stages that will address the previous issues.

Since you brought that up, I feel free to comment. After a week of torture testing, the new TP brackets are holding up just fine. They went a more simple route, they uprated the thickness and steel grade without gusseting.

It's hard to compare since the TP bar is a different design than, well, everything else out there, but you guys have a decent looking product for a much lower price. Bracing the brackets was a good idea (you're welcome) but the upcoming batch of of TP bars will ship with a thick, black powder coated bracket of much higher strength. Which can be retrofitted to the prior batches, if a user has any legit problems, and most don't.

It's not a freebie, they literally just addressed a problem that very few people will ever have with the TP bar, or any others.

But Progress has the bang for the buck advantage for sure! Especially with the group buy. The increase in stiffness is palpable and, IMO, solves a very real problem with the OEM setup, which is too soft for skilled drivers. And the u-brakets, while still ugly, look strong! Good idea to run the gusset all the way around, but I hope they put a better welding guy on the job based on the photos you posted.

BTW, you sell dampers too, right? The stock ones can't even keep up with the factory springs or RSB, you might want to offer an upgrade package for the rear dampers because they suck, and can't even keep up with the springs, nevermind an uprated RSB. OEM rear dampers, combined with an uprated RSB, is a disaster waiting to happen, IMO, even with the OEM springs.

Just my thoughts, and just trying to help! Looks like a good product at a very good price, if it wasn't for the TP bar, I'd most likely be on the list. The TP bar is a lot more expensive, and they only addressed the bracket issue recently because it didn't come up in their testing. Until they sold one to me.

I agree, they will make them if I ask them. I would need to do another GB and get another tester lol.

They will do it if I ask and as long as the community participates in the GB.

This GB will be a good indication of how we will respond when I ask to have them make Springs SPECIFICALLY for the MS3.

One thing I am noticing a lot from manufacturers is that because it fits they will market it instead of designing one specifically for this car.

Yes you can still get that price.

Squeaking and clunking can be attributed to many other things such as installation error as the biggest one. But Proper lubrication of the bushings is important as well.
