Talking Steering

My M3 Speed rubs inner fender linning when making right turns... replaced wheel bearing; LF strut; LF sway bar link. And the front axels: pads & rotors are fairly new as well. My concern is possible bump stop missing or out of adjustment... but I cannot see or find where its supposed to be.

Have to rule out the obvious: What are your wheel and tire dimensions?

Start looking for bent suspension components.

it just miss the control arm to be replaced as long as your wheel/tire setup isn't too large or out of spec ?

You already have a thread discussing your issue...

Granted...it was your intro thread.

Did you answer the questions in your other thread about the same thing? We already told you bump stops are not part of the steering. Those are for your struts so they don't bottom out or hit the strut bearing when fully compressed.

Like others have said check for bent and severely worn components. Control arms, control arm bushings (typically tear when failed) ball joints, tie rod ends. See if they have any play.

YouTube how to check them. Lots of great tutorials there. Doesn't have to specifically be your car.

Alignment done recently? Stock tires and wheels?

The obvious question asked repeatedly is whether the wheels and tires are stock size or whether they are different. What wheel and tire size? Still asking.

BTW: A quick strut kit (per your other thread) is not OEM, and I'm inclined to believe that if he got one from Monroe, it is for the standard Mazda 3 and not our cars. Our suspension is not the same. I don't think anyone makes a quick strut kit for the Mazdaspeed 3 suspension, short of full aftermarket coil-overs. Only the strut bearing and top hat are interchangeable. I think putting a regular Mazda 3 spring and shock in place of the Mazdaspeed parts may very well be the explanation for the rub if tires and wheels are stock width and height.
