Default Vent Boost Gauge Install

Last weekend, I installed a new Prosport boost gauge. Install was pretty easy, I used threads from here as a guide, thanks guys for posting those how-to's. I mounted the gauge, purchased from SU, in a vent pod purchased from the RPM Store. I used the piggy back double fuse adaptors for the fuse box hook up.

The first and fourth pics show the daytime color setting of white. The second and third pics show the color setting of amber which activates when I turn on my parking lights/headlights.

Here are a couple pics, you pic whores.

All the info I received with the gauge said it was amber. I didn't know there was another option color according to the wiring, only white or amber. let me know if you can re-wire it, I am interested in seeing what it looks like (post a pic). I will take some night time pics and get them on here over the weekend so you can see the color better.

I agree Bud. I went with this setup because it was very clean. I am not taking away anything from people with other setups, I just prefer this one.

I always notice that, for some reason that vent is always closed.

Looks like it was made for the gauge !

Nice install.

Can this vent pod be used with a mechanical gauge? Is there enough room and a way to get the boost line inside the vents?

Yes there is. The vent pod does press right up against the air duct but they cut a slit into the inside of the vent pod just big enough for a normal boost tube and wires.
I have Prosport Mechanical boost guage and the tubing plus the 4 wires fit

Note... be sure your carefull when pressing the vent pod in that you don't pinch the boost line, make sure the lines stay in the slit.

I was wondering, if you turn on your headlights/parking lights, THEN turn on the car, does it stayed lit white? No matter whether you turn the headlights on and off afterwards? Mine does this and it's VERY annoying, I have the exact same setup...
