11.61@124 bitches So last year, I was told when my motor was dying, that I shouldn't bother building a motor the way i wanted to, because come this year, all the locals in NJ would be making well over 600, and that they would be flying right by me. My so called friend, did nothing but motivate me to prove his ass wrong. Nothing fancy here. A T3 gt3076r with a Bloush wheel. A DCR exhaust manifold. A Relentless Customs port and polish intake manifold. No head porting. No extra injectors. A rinky dink meth kit as it has been called for extra fueling. 2 drilled out speed holes behind the license plate. Eibach custom rate springs for the rear, 16k spring rate. 1 nasty motor builder, 1 badass tuner, and a Asian who wanted nothing but to say to the haters, here you go bitches. I may have been towed to Maryland and smiles were had in NJ for my fail, but um yeah. Im smiling now. Thanks to Rob, Justin, Gilly, Nishan, Drew, and the entire HAR crew for everything to get my shit up and running. And a bigger thanks to all those who hated, talked shit, tried to fuck my couch back in 2013. You said " Im mad competitive yo". Yeah, you right. 11.61@124mph on a budget. http://m.youtube.com/watch?sns=fb&v=fAhIZn8gHrs |

Thats what we set out to do. Build a nasty daily driver for the streets, and capable of driving to the track and hauling ass down it. Hats off to you and to Rob. You gave me what i needed for a fraction of the other builds out there and Rob on a conservative tune gave me the power to wreck shop. Like we said at dinner and in our room Sunday night...... This was only the beginning. |
Good shit. I love track success stories. |

Very good stretch of 1st gear, You probably could stay in the gear another 6-10 Ft then you got to put down a better 1-2 shift. You would have went 11.3 if you had a proper 1-2 The way I got around my slow 1-2 shifts is to just kick the pedal instead of actually shifting for the 1-2 only. You'll know you did it right cause you won't hear any real rpm drop off and in your case the tires may even break loose for a second. Heres an example of a kick shift on the 1-2 from my sensei since mine are not expert level yet. So Step 1 was to get the basics of the stretch in first gear now Step 2 is to get the 1-2 as quick as possible Step 3 is to make the car sing. I'm just slightly passed step 2. To make the car sound light and fluffy takes some real foot work. It's not really about being aggressive but about rowing in tandem with the power band. EDIT: You fucking trash box whats with that 1-2 shift you bum!!! You got the stretch now you just need the 1-2. It took me 1.5 years to figure it out but once you do it'll be like an epiphany. Kick shift is probably the quick way to figuring out the right way to shift it quick. When you get your 330's down to 4.7's That's the entrance to the kingdom of fast. |
Congrats Teddy, don't waste any time getting back out there. Sent from the first 11 sec k04 |
You trying to steal my limelight? |
Teddy, Very happy for you dude. Fast car is fast! |
Congrats again teddy, always expected you to do the best! |
Its really amazing to me to see how far Teddy stretched his car out the hole before shifting to 2nd compared to others on here garbing second at or around the starting tree lol. Everyones complaining that 1st is too short but that's only when your spinning. When you got traction all rotations of the tries and gear are used to move the car so you get more distance for your gearing. In short tire up people....... |
11.61@124 bitches Congrats man, hard work payed off. Cannot wait till we start trading times, hopefully be out there within a couple months. Sent from your girlfriends tapabedroom |

Not for nothing but i got a chance to drive @atvfreek; car sunday. That is the car to watch this year. That thing with cobb springs and hoosier drags, on a proper suspension and slick may by all rights be faster than mine. It COOKS upstairs. |
Congrats Teddy! Hard work and dedication always pays off. |
Huge props man! I was so excited to see your last run, we were literally standing on top of our truck watching from where my car was. Btw what tire pressure were you running in those MT's? It's probably because I don't know how to drive yet, but I couldn't hook for shit on the 1-2 shift with FFS. If I shifted slower and didn't hit 2nd in boost, I was ok till the top of 2nd, but when I used FFS and hit 2nd in boost, it was instant tire smoke. Teach me o wise one... |

Tracking these cars is no joke with high hp. This was my first time out w this setup, and it literally was like driving a new car. |
Lower than 8-10 aint safe imo but do you |
Congrats Teddy. Wish we could have stayed to watch the run! Excited to watch you, along with all of HAR continue to push the platform and capabilities of the MS3. |
:gives: Quote:
Is there a build thread lol. This shits impressive, curious which clutch flywheel etc |
Yup. Voltron 2.0 or some shit |
Nobody said it yet? Fine ill say it. All the HAR cars cleaned house lol. Every last 1 of them. |

The dead hook video is glorious. My buddy that was up there with me has it somewhere. Reminded me a lot of this Evo I watched snap an axle at launch and almost take out the tree last year haha. |
Teddy, congrats my brotha. I knew you were going to prove the unnamed parties wrong, and you did just that. Super happy for you and hope to be watching from the walls a lot more this year. <3 Dump Quote:

Can you share your tire size is? Thanks. Now that I've broken into the 12's on street tires, time to break into the 11s. |

Teddy you the man! Great run and can't wait to see the better times. Lots of work and your at a great point right now with times. Have a great season out there. |

I really need to thank jason @SFWD 1934; also We spoke for hours on the phone about suspension and he hooked me up with those insane eibach rears. That car didnt squat for shit. Hit that man up if you want those spring. s |
Wait, this was in MPH? Damn I thought it was KPH. |
So the guy who you took the crown from... Are there going to be call outs towards him since he backed out of a sponsorship, but has a build set up to make good times, or is he just another face in the crowd who probably won't be heard from again? You deserve the limelight! Congrats teddy! #twoweeks |

My main goals now are this. To represent my tuner @rfinkle2; to thr fullest And to solidify my builder @atvfreek; And to represent @CorkSport; products for the platform that they perform on the street, as well as the track. Track times will be made and broken. Thats what pushes us forward. |
So how about that dead hook video lol |
Quote:
|
It's not the best video and you can't see that much of the dead hook, but you can watch Teddy's hands fighting with the steering wheel. |
Lol wow this post made me happy. Congrats dude!! |
I don't need to say much here that you don't already know. I always said you were the one putting us out there on the map. I'm just happy that I could have helped in any way. The best part is, you aren't even done. ENM was just a "feeler" pass. :) |
still cut a 1.74 swerving |
Anytime brotha. Looking at the one slip on the first page you gave away a ton on the tree. Not a huge deal but you know. If you can rock a 1.5x 60 foot that should be able to drop you sub 5.x big time in the 330. I did hear it in the video, so that should be something with more seat time you can clear up. You gained about 27 MPH on the top end from the 1/8 to the 1/4 in speed. So that should only get better with better boost control. You start to get 30+MPH you will be in the 10s. Just out of curiosity you aren't logging anything via a standalone logger are you? I really want COBB to get traction control for boost through the ABS sensors. That would be so nice. Jason |

1 Attachment(s) Congrats man, I know you've been working for this for a long time. I do have one question though. Why the fuck are these the recommended videos that pop up after watching your run? :wtf: :laugh2: |
cause that run impregnated all the bitches in those stands |

What does "gave away a ton on the tree" mean. Can't wait to try those springs in my car. Thanks for helping out as always man |
I think jason means i slept at the tree. I was just doing what Jesus would do. Give the kid a headstart. Trololololol |
Quote:
Gotcha. Lol |
Justin, Yes what Teddy said is part of it. The other part of it is watch Teddy launch off the line. Basically the car is not moving. There are basically two standard "forms" of staging a car: Shallow Deep There are a pair of Amber bulbs to indicate pre stage. There a pair of bulbs to indicate stage. These pairs are ok both sides of the tree (one for each lane). Now there is about a 6-8" roll out distance between these two sets of indicator lights. If you go shallow meaning to just barely start to flicker and activate the stage lights after the pre stage lights. If you deep stage you will actually put the pre stage bulbs out and only the stage bulbs will remain lit. Now what this means is that when you shallow stage you can actually train yourself to leave a little sooner than normal, thus giving you a "rolling start." When you deep stage it will show in your ET but basically give you about a 8-10" head start. Jason |
Well fuck me. All these years, and now someone finally tells me. Jason you sir continue to amaze me with your immense knowledge of drag racing. Talking with you on the phone humbles me. And makes me feel a bit more retarded after. <3 |
