So boys I went to the track today. Great track temps at 52 degrees out, but there was a mean ass head wind ranging from 15-25mph. I mean the flag was flying straight up the track. Car was looking good I was ready to rock. Put my drag map in and started at 17-18psi to see how it would do. Had tires set at 13psi for my first run. Did a killer 2nd gear burnout and tires got nice and hot. Launched the car between 4500-5500 and dropped the clutch. Car slungshot out of the box with a decent 1.8 60ft. Then I grabbed 2nd gear hard and the car was still spinning and bouncing off the limiter. Then when I hit 3rd and the car was still spinning I realized the real problem ( the clutch). Fack, so that run was a 12.6@109. Let the car cool down and did some more passes. The more I turned the boost up, the more it slipped. So eventually I left boost at 18psi and upped my tire pressure to 15psi. Clutch was very inconsistant but I was still able to muster some decent times. 12.0@112 was my best et and 12.1@114 was my best mph. Urg the damn clutch really ruined my 11s. My traps are low cause I had to granny shift and the clutch just wouldnt fully engage after the initial lauch. This one has been solid for 52k miles. So anyways I hate excuses but thats what happened. In order to run decent times i had to drive like a bitch. No fast shifting and high tire pressure. I promise you boys that after my new (stock) clutch goes in Ill rock some 11.7s@118. The clutch was slipping that bad. Anyways I have some vids Ill post soon but heres the slips.

Im sorry guys I really thought I had it. The car has the power for sure and the 60fts are easy. The hoosiers really do work well at lower psi if you heat them up propa! The clutch was just enough to keep me from crossing that line. Im certain i wont just hit 11s Ill do 11.8s minimum. Also this track is 2700ft. Woodburn could yield 11.5s with a new clutch and a atp 3076r at 21psi.

Ps. There was a 05 c6 at the track today stock with drag radials. He told me he usually runs 12.4-12.5@111-113 with his car but today with the headwind and crappy 60s he was running 13.0@108. Damn headwind. I think it hurt me more than the clutch. Urggg so dissapointing.

I will order a new stocker tomorrow. Its been great for 52k so far and I really like the way it shifts and feels. I wonder if I could put an act street disc with the stock pp?

ACT will not work................... will not bolt to the pressure plate with out flywheel and it alsom will not work with flywheel..

Stock it is! Its been a great clutch so far and dont plan on much drag racing anyhow. Just when I wanna test new setups. Stock will be great for autocross/daily blasts.

like i told u before man, its a process...u already know this, not one motherfucker on earth ran his best time in a car the first day of a new set up....u know this and i know this. today was R&D .... u know the QTPs now will give up a 1.6-1.7 for u .... u know on 18psi u got 114mph so with 21 u got 117 easily at least. the skill u got.... now u need the shit to make it to the tires via a strong clutch..... i got now doubt u will bang out 11.7s-11.8s next time out.

Nice times! I went to Orlando Speedworld Sunday and there was someone there with a dark silver MS3. Not sure what he was running since I was running my SRT6 at the time. Maybe he's on here and will post his results. Good luck and soon we'll be hearing about your 11's.

Wow I never thought that there would be a day someone could say they have an 11 second MS3 but its about to happen. Fix that clutch and get it done!

Lenny the car has 118 traps in it now at 18psi. I don't think u understand when I say the clutch was spinning lol. When I shifted at 6800 the rpms only dropped to 6300 most the runs, and was spinning the worst in 4th. Where all my trap is! Ull see next go round. I'm just happy I even got the 114 bro. It was that bad.

Oh and one other thing I forgot to mention guys. All my mounts are stock except the rear one is windshield urethane filled. No wheel hop, and my 60fts were kick ass. Im shooting for high 1.6s once I get the new clutch in there and I can air the tires down to 11 psi.

How are you staying clear of wheel hop with that power level AND slicks?? I am flabbergasted!! You must have some pretty special twinkletoes on that clutch pedal of yours. lol.

Bro wheelhop and 26s just doesnt happen unless you run to high of pressure which most of you do. I run low low pressures and thats why my 60fts are good and I have no issues with wheel hop. Give it a try and see for yourself. Or just leave the going fast to me. LOL Id prefer to see all of us running low 12s high 11s.

Congrats man! If I could get this car out of my builders garage I would have those 11's... Last Big SU purchase should go in this weekend.... car will hopefully be seen at The Mitty at the end of this month.
