i think a non-vtec civic dx with similar mods could run the same time this guy did. |

I didnt even realize i was making excuses. saying im a bad drive would ALSO be an excuse too! at least im man enough to post my REAL times, which is more then 90% of you can say. Anyone in the greater grand rapids area can run my car down US131 dragway or mid michigan motorplex if they pay for gas, if you break 14.00 i will yell from the nearest mountain top im the worst driver in the world. Last week i went to a different track and ran a 14.65@97.97mph cut a few 1.9 60's. launch control set to 4000 rpms. My 14.65 pass was not my best launch but it was my best overall time. What troubles me the most is my 1/8 mile mph is really low 71mph. comparing to other cars that are trapping around 98mph they seem to be around 75-76mph. Im really curious what the OP ran, im guessing after going to the track he was to embarrassed to come back. |
Dude, you shouldn't be double clutching while you're granny shifting, you have to granny first, then carefully ease in the double clutching. You should at least pull off a mid 13 sec pass if you do this correctly. |
We're just messin with you, at least you had the balls to post numbers like that. I just don't get it though, with those mods a 14 flat should be easy. The times you were talkin originally sounded like a stock Si that stalled on its launch and had to start back up before he could go. I'd love to take you up on your offer out of curiosity, but I live in Florida. I've never driven a ms6 but I would think in 3 runs with those mods you have I could defiantly get under a 14. |
I'll take you up on the run. I curious on how it drives differently than mine. |

Best run was 14.5 @ 94 mph. This was my first time at the track. Only has CAI & short shifter. |

hm 14.5 isn't very good either, but you have less (real) mods on your car than him, and you now have a run under your belt, so I would hope you could break 14 in his car. If not fail for the both of you. |
idk 13.9 is very good for a intake only ms3. so 14.5 isnt THAT bad. should be low 14s. but only intake + bad track conditions= :banghead: |
Temps were in the high 80s. Lots of time spent on track clean up. Again first time racing. I'll take suggestions for better times. |
i was trying to say you didnt do too bad for your virgin run. launching the car isnt the easiest thing to do. get some practice and you should shave off that .5 another thing to think about is how to hold boost when you shift gears, do it quick, and your rpm should already be rising when you let off the clutch, so you will be building boost. its a little harder on the clutch, but your times will be quicker. |
Thanks I'll work on this. |
when my car was stocki ran constant 14.6-14.7 at 97mph with a 2.160ft( Bogging launch) lmfaooo. Im yet to go with the new setup, im actually looking very forward to it. if i can get a donation thing going then i shall go =) lol |
