(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Last night, my best run (3rd and final run) was a 14.22 @ 99.56 w/a 2.17 60ft. My goal was to come out and break the 100mph trap barrier. I wasn't so much worried about et. If someone hadn't broken right after my last run, I think I could have broken the 100 barrier as well as gotten a bit quicker ET, maybe a high 13. I felt like the car had more in it. I toyed w/ a new launching technique that I used on my Quattro big turbo Audi A4. I bounced the revs after staging to about 3500 (6k in the A4) tops and I tried to leave on the upswing of the tach. This allowed me to leave at a lower RPM but still have enough boost built up to not bog. It felt like the perfect blend of wheel spin/vs traction. I think I can get an even quicker 60ft next time. I'll post the slips, track info, and mods in the proper format for loosh later today. I think my next mod is going to be the CECIL MOD!!!! mods are in my sig.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I got about 4* of knock ret. and some nasty cut stutter. Today, I decided to go back to the Cobb OTS version of that map, stg1 + MSCAI v102. I had the problems w/ the MSF map. I also filled up w/ gas from a more reputable station. so far so good, no cut and only a lil KR.

| Not Ranked : 0 score You need to get that DP/racepipe installed and move to stage 2 maps..I didnt have any problems running any of the maps with my mscai,It may be the gas you had.

I have the 88 duro awr my ets tmic would bang the trim too ! I took a sharpie to the shroud and drew an estimated amount to take off the edge pulled the shroud off so I wouldn't get metal flakes all over my engine and took a dremmel drill to it ... problem solved no more bangin' . | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score hate to agree with laloosh but try those mods without the AP see what you get. Then again I have trapped 100mph stock and 96mph as well on the same day...manual tranny leaves too much up to the driver to trap consistently if you are not well experienced. Good Job though I think 14.2 @99 mph is good considering that the only power enhancer you have is the TMIC (AP is up for debate but you guys know where I stand on the subject.) |

| Not Ranked : 0 score yeah that too, but you have to consider his gains are also limited by his skills. a better driver (and I am not trying to offend anyone here) perhaps could get a 13.9 @101 out of the same car. not to say you dont know what you are doing Jedi..... just making a point. I think I am a decent driver but I am sure someone that has more skills in driving a FWD car and a 6speed would get better results out of MY track days. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score you are telling me that every time you hit a good 60' the mph has been at it's highest? trust me bro you dont have to sell me on that the AP is making him slower because I already believe that. (I have had mine for 2 months or so and I am still running the stock tune) I am just saying that if he was running 14.8's @97mph with 2.3 60' then 14.2 @99mph with 2.17 60's is pretty decent. but I am sure if racer X got a hold of his wheels maybe we could see a bit better times. Nailing a good 60 foot doesnt ensure you of a great mph run or even a great ET.... I would even say that a little tirespin usually allows you to trap at a higher speed (with a crappier ET of course) |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score well, like I said, I think the car had a 13.9 in it that night at 100-101. I'm not a good driver by any means but compared to my past runs, this was an improvement. I think it's the map though. everyone seems to agree the current v102 FMIC maps are lacking. no problem w/ that, Cobb is working on improved files. I flashed to the MSCAI stg 1 OTS tune and the car rips way more than it did last night in hotter weather today. That's a fact but I just can't prove it. I think I could've improved my shifting technique as well (on the 14.2 run). I didn't flat shift at all. I short shifted 2nd to avoid wheel hop and I didn't miss 3rd at all but I did shift a nano-second to slow. I dunno, maybe these are excuses by i'm trying to get better.
