It's really fun being the quietest car at the track too... people were literally freaking out. You can't hear the car... just the ricer or muscle in the other lane getting his ass whooped. LOL

6* at 3500, 17.5* at 6k rpm. 11.8 afr target. 21psi boost target from 3k to 5k, 20psi at 5500, 17.5psi from 6k on.

why so quiet?

I'm stock exhaust with dp and nowhere near quiet.

The car is extremely quiet dude... I mean I can hear the turbo whoosh whoosh and the bypass valve, but my wife was watching in the stands, and the burn outs looked almost silly... it was just smoke and no noise lol.


The stock exhaust does have a bit of a rumble to it... but not very loud, definitely doesn't carry. My car gets muffled by pretty much any car in the other lane lol

Not complaining... I prefer it this way. Nothing about the car screams "12's"

Nothing, I prefer it to be open, helps vent all the damn heat out of the engine bay.

The clutch smells a bit after a couple runs with the QTP's, holds OK still, but my car only has 6k miles on it. I don't think it'll last too long with the hard launches, but it's OK, I hit my goal for just simple bolt ons with the car, so no more drag racing it for a while anyway.

Bear in mind my clutch fucking hates me... I'm on stock suspension and I drove the fuck out of the car tonight. The squat on stock suspension is pretty awesome, lolz

1.93 is decent for those tires. I'm still spinning through 1st, even with lower launch points (which just makes the ET slower as the 60 ft drops with a lower launch).

Awesome times man. That's where I'm hoping my car will be. Launching even on the QTP's is hard and I could not get better than 2.2 60ft last time out. I would just smoke the tires in first. Lol.

What rpm were you launching at?

I got my best 60ft's launching from 5k. It's kind of hard to explain, but I found the trick to 1.9x 60ft's on those tires, even with tons of spin in 1st, was to launch from 5k, kind of let rpm's drop to 4000-4500 as I lightly engaged the clutch til I felt the car "move", then gas into it and clutch out further, which jumped rpm's up to 5k anyway and would make the tires do their work -- I'd get a decent howl out of the tires as they would bite and yank the car forward, at which point I'd get wheel spin, but the car was moving and the tires were doing their work. Easy 1.9 60ft's that way.

I tried to get into the 1.8x's, but it just didn't want to do it at my track.

Nope, sorry. Normally I at least mount the Go Pro during my drag runs, but I like to mount it in the car so you can see driver/dash, etc, have yet to figure out a good spot on this car.

Its all good. Congrats on the times. I am hoping to eventually acheive the same goal you did. I had the same goal with my 01 Trans-Am...go 12's with under 1k in mods with an auto. Come to find out it was easier than I thought. I am thinking the MS3 will be more of a challenge. I was just curious to see vids, due to that is the best way for me to learn lol.

I'm more interested in a shot from the inside, as I like to be able to watch a replay and see what I'm doing as well as the track, etc.
