Yeah, Darkgums is just hating now that he is a stock & scared EVO owner. So what did Dada run in his 335i? Word on the street, Jason is Cobb powered now? |

Stock went a 14.0 and with the accessport 13.1@108.... |

And darksun man I wanted to run you when you came down to cpe dyno day and I was in the car with skater when you guys raced!! But you guys were in a hurry to leave to go to jakes place... |
Nice launch. I have the dreadnaught sitting in my den and will have the juggernaught when its produced. Then I'll start launching again. Not until then. I do NOT need my diff coming off. Again. |

Friend of mine took a bunch of pics. Jason's times were disappointingly low. He wasn't really launching right and was trying to do some comparo's of intakes vs non intakes. He did manage a 110 trap so it wasnt too bad. With the same mods he had I threw down a 12.61@114 but I am a 6mt (usually slower than the AT) and RWD with 60fts of 1.9x. He was running less boost and lower timing with the off the shelf maps. Race gas doesn't help the n54 when tuned with an AP as the dme won't continue to advance timing above what they have the OTS tables set to. The tune I am on will advance to the max stock timing curve with meth and racegas which is why my 1/4 mile times drop to low 12s on it. |
so no 11s yet? |

EDIT- that run you put up was the first time I broke an axle too... lol. I have recorded over that period of time with the newer Evo videos... so that title is yours since you have proof. |
No one here could even dream of keeping up with you chris. Your car just makes me mad and thats hard to do. But the power level and your build is retardedly perfect. |
That's what honest brackets are for... if they exist |
Well Give me a 2 second start at the tree and it will be even lol |
Driver311 is MIA? I can only imagine that means he didn't hit 11s.... |
he hit me up and said track closed.... so 11's:rocketwhore: |

Straight up you cant compare a ms6 to any evo. The evo is a race car hands down a better all around "race" car than the mazda. What the mazda does that the evo doesnt is have a good driving experience. Quiet ride, smooth power delivery and really nice interior. YOu are paying for performance with the evo. My 05 white evo when 13.0 bone stock. 1.9 60fts@105 I believe. This was at 2700ft. I believe its close to a record. Then I did exhaust only and went 12.4. THen I added walbro pump and safc. Still on stock boost I went 12.1@113. THen I added a lil bigger fmic core and hks 264 cams. 11.9@115. At this point clutch was not happy. I put an act clutch in and leaned it out to 12.5 afr on sunoco 110. Car was pulling like a mother fucker. 11.7@117. So buscher exhaust, rnr fmic, safc, walbro pump, 264 cams and it netted me high 11s on stock boost. Then I took it down to sacramento and went 118-119 traps but Couldnt get the 60fts I got in boise. THe evo is just a machine. My 60fts ranged from 1.59-1.72 pretty consistantly. 6500-7000rpm launches. moral of the story you cant compare the two cars. If anything compare early stis. They are closer comparison. THey usually net mid 12 driven good with nice stock turbo setups. If this ms6 was mine Id put some 110 in it and lean it out to 12.5 afrs. THen Id get some 16x8 inch rota or similar wheels with some 225/50/16 dunlop specs or similar cheap tires. THe lower height and skinnier tire would net killer 60fts and traps. I bet you get some low 1.7s to high 1.6 60fts and trap 116 no problem. Having the taller sidewalls would get the 60ft and having the skinnier contact patch would help the trap alot. I bet you pick up good power on the race gas leaned out. It sounds like your getting there but the 19s are really killin this car. Even if they are lite. Borrow some 17s or 16s and see what happens. SHit even running the 26 hoosiers would help alot. THose tires are sooooooo fucking light its amazing. 10lbs a tires lighter than my street tires and they are bigger. LOL Good luck and get that thing on the dyno. Find out where the timing likes to be. Mine seems to like it around 15 degrees the most. Im pretty positive its the higher compression that keeps it from making more power on more timing. If the compression was lowered to like 8.5 the car would take 10 more degrees Im fairly certain. But dont know for sure. Ps. I got rained out. Sorry guys I tried. Looks like Ill have to wait till early march. |
Fuckin' rain. I guess that means I'm next in line to fail. If I can pop off a 1.8 60', I'm pretty sure I can run 11s. In before my clutch explodes |
I think you could do it on 1.9 60fts. You car has 122 traps no problem. Do you have some hoosiers? You can do some 26in slicks on 15in wheels if you have either coil overs or stock height. If you interested in how or what to do just call me and I can set you up on the setup to get. But with 420whp your car should trap 120-124mph for sure. WHats your setup as far as what you got for the track? |
Quote:
Oh, and 420 whp is a thing of the past. I'm much, much faster now. If I had to guess, i'd say that by the time I get to the track, I'm going to be much closer to 475. For my track setup, I've got stock clutch, stock block, stock suspension, 16" FD wheels, 26x9.5-16 quick time pros, and I think I'm gonna be pushing 28 psi (only at 24 right now, and this car is fast as fuck) |

Stock springs or coilovers for clearance 15 inch motegi trak lite wheels (they clear brakes with h&r adapters) and weigh 9lbs 26x8.5x15 m&h slicks. Much much better than the hoosiers. 1.6 60fts on these tires no prob. h&r 1inch i believe(Ill have to measure) wheel adaptors. You bolt on car and then bolt wheel to them. This will space the weel out just enough to clear calipers. this setup is the much better setup. More contact patch, softer sidewall, and much stickier compound. Equates to better 60ft, more consistant, and less shock to drivetrain. All in all a much better setup. This is what I would do if I had coilovers. You will need stock height to keep these tires from hitting the fenders. Ps. They will look sooo sick! Stomping evos and ms6s out of the hole all day. LOL |

what does that mean? you really have to get away from that train of thought that a Ms6 is not up to the "evo" challenge now a days... lemme know when you're going to a track near us..NJ? and i'll be happy to line up with you and see who's dick is bigger HP for HP... |
Awesome... I might have to get a setup like that. Unfortunately, I don't have time to switch my setup anymore before the track. |
Quote:
when you go beyond basic bolt ons a stock for stock comparison means dick... is the evo lighter, faster and geared better then a ms6 out the factory... yes is a gutted evo with 400 whp faster then a ms6 gutted with 400 whp..... depends.. it's a drivers race |

I have some 17's that would have been lighter than my 19's and just as wide of tire. I could lose another 3-4 lbs per coner. If I put a skinner tire on my car I would spin worse than I did with my 245/35/19s. Also about your evo launching to the 1.6's and the speed6 strugling to do it watch that will happen soon!!! I think I was bogging not because my mount was going bad as I was having problems starting back to last year when I did the 12.3. If you look at my last 2 passes I was all of a sudden bogging in every pass. I have a mount that will be shipped come monday. So when I get that installed and finish installing my meth and install my 3.5 bar map you will see some 1.6 60ft passes. Also you have to realize I did this time with only 17psi. Hell I was able to a 1.71 (best) on a stock turbo and heavier car!!!! Race season JUST started better times to come!!! |
