How many have pushed their K04's with all these barriers broken? Most of the runs are spent hanging out around 18 psi anyways because that magical bigger TD05 is plain out of breath in the higher RPM range. I will tell ya, those times were with a whopping 330hp... nothing crazy. You can blame my 25psi, what ever you want, because it sounds like nothing but excuses to me, which is something a little familiar to hear (like the last time my MS6 and yours were at MIR way back when).

With his timing peaking at 11* its a true sign that the dude can drive...maybe even driver could learn a little lol

Get off it bro. For one you dont know me and two your stretching to find a reason to try and chop me down and its just not gonna work. I dont claim to be the best or have the best anything. Just love racing and making power in what ever car I own at the time. So if you wanna keep acting like a school girl thats fine, but you look like a bitch doing it. If it makes you feel special being an ass well more power to you. Good luck to you, your low 12 second tastefully modded bmw and your job saving lives. Maybe one day I can be cool like you until then Ill just keep doing what I do. Trying to keep the mazdaspeedforums moving forward and setting records in this platform.

As for the dyno I am going to address my manifold leaking first and then my mount, meth, and 3.5 bar map so I can up the boost to where I want it and then its dyno time as I want to see what my car is producing as well making sure I have a good tune the next time I go back to the track and not worry about tuning then I can concentrate on the qtrmile!!!

Ya Im happy where I got my tune now. Its running good on 93/e85 mix so Im just gonna leave it for now. I plan on autocrossing in smf all this year and thats what Im gonna concentrate on. Its been a few years since ive done that full bore. Id like to win smf this year. The local smf class is very competative but I have high hopes for the speed.

I do have a pretty aggressive map for the strip and plan on hitting the track beginning of April. I think the 3rd. Unfortunately itll be at our local track which is 2700ft. That is where I ran my mid 12s on the k04 though. Like I said I just hope the hoosiers work as well as the m&hs did. I truely have my doubts that I can duplicate my low to mid 1.7s. Might have to do coilovers later. For now the koni/h&r setup will have to do. So Ill have to stick with 16 inch rims for now. It sure would be easier to get those 60s if I had a taller geared tranny. I bet the standard mazda3 5 speed tranny would work much easier. I do miss the tall gearing of my evo and srt.

Whats the stock record for the 6? Has anyone else gone 13s stock in a 3?

2nr 02-21-2011 09:16 PM

the only one faster that I know of is this guy did a 13.59 over at cecil (down hill track)

driver311 02-21-2011 09:36 PM

Thats real close to my stock times. I did 13.7@100 in the radioflyer. The 60fts were limited by street tires. 2.0 was my best. I bet at a sealevel track on slicks a stock speed3 can run 13.0s with a good driver. Would have been nice to give it a shot.

2nr 02-21-2011 09:59 PM

lol "radioflyer"

driver311 02-21-2011 10:11 PM

Hey if it fits the bill. LOL

I thought you ran a 13.1 stock turbo??? hell we were doing 13.4's together. But my best was a 13.2 stock turbo..

SgtP 02-21-2011 10:58 PM

I hope you guys keep arguing so I can get 11s before you.

That'll be harder to do in a speed3. But once done, it will be just another first for jwil, amirite?

spiker98 02-22-2011 03:15 PM

As soon as my seals get here my build will be complete and we can start the motor!! I have been waiting patiently for almost a year now...

SgtP 02-23-2011 12:53 AM

jwilkins88 02-23-2011 07:47 AM

Meh!!! My seals should finally be getting here today, and my passenger side mount should be getting here tomorrow... The same day I'm leaving. Shit's gonna be tight!

Lex 02-23-2011 09:14 AM

Cutting it close is always a gamble with mods and cars. Half the people that fail do so because they are installing something the night before.

You don't have to tell me man... Unfortunately, there really isn't much I could do about it. I ordered the replacement seals 2 hours after they were up on CPEs site (with overnight shipping that has taken 4 days to get here), and everyone who promised me that they'd have passenger mounts failed to produce any.

Thank god for AWR stepping up to the plate and actually being willing to help out with the passenger mount situation (sending me one of their prototypes that they've been using on one of their cars). Kudos to them.

Bottom line, I've gotta have these two things or my chances of 11s seriously diminish (outside of driver skill). Still, you'll hear no excuses from me one way or the other.

I'm going to run, and if I fail, I fail, and I'll put up videographic evidence of my fail. Unless the rain stops me from running....
