Driver311 7/21/11 at track w/ vids
 

So took my car out for another attempt at 11s. 85 degree temps and a lil head wind but still a nice day. Track is at 2900ft and corrected da was way up there. Oh well wanted to see what the new e85 tune had to offer. Here is a few vids. First one was on 21psi and second one on 22psi. Car is fully bolted with atp ewg3076r tuned with AP by yours truely. Im either gonna have to wait for fall or me and Austin are gonna have to hit sacramento up next month. I need sealevel air to dig deep into the 11s. I know this car has 11.7s in it at 120 if I can get the right day. Soon very soon. Im tired of waiting. This shits pissing me off. LOL

Ps. I was running on 25x9x15 toyo drag slicks. I was using h&r 1 1/4 spacers to fit them. But they fit and thats all that matters. These slicks put me in the middle of 5th. I had no other choice with my power 116 is all I could get out of the 26s in 4th, and was crossing the beams on the limiter. Shifting didnt help at all, just to close. I want more. How about 1.75, 1.73 and 1.81 60fts on these badboys. worked killer at 11-12psi. Anything above was just to much. Just like any slick on a fwd. Gotta get the pressure down.

Shitty part is on the 12.0 run I bogged 1st good. Its hard to tell in vid but I only cut a 1.81 60ft on that run and the two before were 1.73-1.75. That alone would have done it. Fack!! lol

Come on Driver you know damn well once the fall weather comes along you're knee deep in the 11's. But I see your point if you can do a 12 flat or 11.9 in the dead of summer 11.6's will been easy to do come better weather. Now motivate these other guys to step their track game up. Been old news. How do you like the 3076vs 3071
In regards to daily driving?

For daily driving they are very close but the 3076 is a lil bit better. STays out of boost even more than the 3071 does and the torque curve is very flat. I did like the torque spike of the 3071r when railing through the gears but it fell off past 6200. The 3076r pulls to the moon and is very linear. At first I didnt think the car was as fast but its all in perception. The 3071 hit harder but fell off sooner. This turbo just keeps pulling harder the farther you rev it and every upshift it sets you back harder in the seat. IM loving it. I think when I went 12.0@112-114 with the 3071 it had alot to do with the 50 degree spring temps and air density. In the summer here air is not so good. Da ranges from 5000-9000ft all summer. So that fact my car is still pulling higher traps goes to show how much power potential this setup has.

YOu better believe there is more to come. In fact I raced a c6 z06 last night from a 45 roll. WE were neck and neck in 3rd and 4th and when I hit 5th he slowly pulled away to about 1-1.5 cars. I was sooooo pumped that the lil mazda hung with him. He did video the race, I just have to wait for him to post it.

Im glad you brought that up. So true and alot of peeps overlook things like that. Im positive as summer wines down the radioflyer will dip deeper and deeper into the 11s.

That supra did awful. He needs a driver mod and some good tires. If he really is making 600whp and trapped 129mph with no traction he should be deep in the 10's trapping 130mph+. :(

EDIT: Looking at the vid vs the supra again, it doesn't even look like he was getting into it until the top half of the run. I think he launched off idle during that run.

It was my buddies son. He is 18 and learning to drag race in this car on street radials. He is on it in every gear just real hesitant in 1st. Then after that he is grabbing gears. Racing a 600whp car on streets isnt east especially your first time out LOL He is learning fast though. He went 12.0@129 by end of night. Just rolling out 1st and then getting in it.

He needs to stop using street tires and get him a real tire to run with at the strip. That car should be in the 10's. Tell him I told him that as a Supra owner to another Supra owner.

The car has gone 10.7@135 i believe. Its a 71mm setup. Car is soooo fun to drive. The owner is really fucking cool dude. I ran this car at strip to 11.3@127 and it was getting way sideways so I called it quits. The slick setup wouldnt keep the car straight. It wondered scary bad.

it's a game of seconds, every little bit counts when you're chasing/setting records. I'm not saying a full gutting is necessary but I sure hope all the little things like the spare are taken out.
