No it is, but I meant the MS3 is a torque monster with minor bolt ons. Didn't incite your car had no torque, was inciting my old RSX had no torque lol. Trust im no fan boy, I respect cars with hard work put in em.

Nah I got ya. I'm just saying this isn't exactly your typical torqueless Honda... lol. And yes, my MS3 is... different. The torque coming on hard so early and the gearing being so short makes the car just... different, when that torque comes on instantly at 3k rpm. I don't even know how to describe the MS3 feels, just puts a grin on my face when I drive it around town. The two cars are really different... The early high tq output of the MS3 makes it feel a lot faster than my Si... but there's a whole 24mph in trap difference between the two (in favor of the Si) hahaha

that civic can't beat an AWD or RWD car that traps the same kinda speeds. It has traction issues. It would have to race a car with a lower trap it can reel in.

It's hard to gauge how fast his car actually is. We all know that the first two gears basically determines the entire race. But he has his car restricted heavily for the first two gears. I can see that even on his best run of the night the launch got fucked up. Car bogged from traction. That car has 10's in it easy but you gotta uncap that power for 1st and the 1-2 shift or sit on the two step longer and build some more power.

Couple things to add: Car did 12.3 @ 112mph on *pure* WG pressure, 3psi spring making 4psi. That's about ~360whp. Here's that run: I have a Comp Twin Disc clutch. It's brutal. No, that's not even the right word... it's so on/off that once it engages you either spin or bog, I was trying to find an equilibrium between the two, and the one run I did I got a 1.87 60ft, but I had too much boost in 2nd and 3rd (spun them), not enough in 4th, and only got an 11.6: On the topic of my two step...I don't have a real two step. This ECU has a "launch limiter" which in effect is just a neutral rev limiter so you can't rev the car too high when the car isn't moving (factory is 5500, Honda didn't want you singing in the red at stop lights), but with my tuning software I can adjust it. 6500 rpm would bog, 7000 rpm was the sweet spot, but tricky due to the clutch. Plus the limiter isn't a true two step -- building boost was a joke, I made like 2psi off the launch. Heck even when I did it would spin and I would let off on the clutch quicker to stop the spin (hence you notice the bogs -- I was letting it drop to like ~5k on the "good" launches, the bad launches bogged below 3k rpm lol). That being said, the car is an absolutely *blast*. I didn't build it to street race. We don't have much of a "scene" here, and the car is stupid scary on any highway that isn't completely flat -- lots of side to side action if you hit any kind of ruts trucks have worn into the road. I find it a lot more fun to hit up the track (even the shit one that has no prep) and make a few passes. I was getting faster with every pass -- the car's got 10's in it with proper traction (whether they be 26x10 slicks or a fully prepped track). As for estimating power -- it's very hard with the variable boost by gear. If you were to go purely off trap speed, it's 620fwhp or so.. but it's quite a bit higher than that since I don't really open the car up til 3rd & 4th gear. I would say that in 4th @ 23-24psi it's closer to 670 if not 700. BTW on the street 4th gear hooks 20-23psi on street tires just fine. 3rd gear hooks 14-15psi. So for suishi rolls... it's very very fast. All I would be using is 3rd and 4th unless someone really wanted a 40 roll... heh. Not that I particularly care -- it's jail time in Oregon if you get caught and I really enjoy my super cheap car insurance. Probably 8's lol

Ok that makes alot of sense. Once you play with that clutch cause it's not hooking the way you want it too you're boned. Your car makes way too much power for 23 inch slicks to be effective. and the boost by gear is chopping your legs out from under neath you in the early gears on top of it. My advice is find a way to stuff a 26 in click in there. Letting off the throttle or pedaling to catch traction kills E.T. OR Get a real two step. If you could build like 7-14 psi off the line I think it'll seem like you were spinning but you would actually cut better 60fts'

I didn't bother pedaling the slicks... I just rode out the spin til I could feel no pull and shifted hahaha

| Not Ranked : 0 score Thats true. But have you watched the vids of the fastest awd 1/4 miles? They are fucking intense because they are all over the track. Thats where the awd hurts because the slightest steer adjustment turns into swerving compared to the fwd that doesnt have the rear tires pushing it in the direction the steering correction is made.
