my approach is overkill it with power to counter for my inexperience and lack of seat time. lol :njspeed3: |
I think the launch is the most crucial part of the qtr mile..... If you screw the launch you are just spending time trying to make up for what you messed up in the beginning.. and in some cases its worse than missing a gear. No matter how good you shift through the rest of the qtr mile.. |

Don't be like those suckers...... |
hey we can't all be awesome well seasoned drag racers. I for one never gave a shit what people think of my driving. I'm trying to have fun and gain experience at the same time. All in all I probably have under 20 passes with slicks on this car. The 3 runs I did a few weeks ago were on a completely new slick set up. So make that 3 passes ever on that set up and tune. Enjoy your car 1st and foremost. :njspeed3: |
Nah son kind of talk is for the weak. That's like a car like yours on slicks running 12.8's and saying "Well at least I love my car" Fuck outta here. |
Personally I feel like any of you big turbo guys in any kind of 11's is respectable. Can't knock a man for that. Thats a solid street car. I'd even let the 12.0-12.1 guys slide. but 12.3 and lower means alot of foolishness is going on during that 1320 that needs to be addressed. |
Most people don't know what it's like to launch a 500+whp MS3 with slicks. It's quite the experience. Keeping the car in your lane is an achievement in and of itself. |
It has been asked a few times and I didnt see it if answered. What size slicks and brand/type are you guys running? |
