What claims have I made that are inaccurate? Im not being snobbish. You say well prob blow at 20+psi with meth there are numerous people who are running 20psi who have not blown. In addition you said run 11.5 max afr for our car to keep safe. Any won who knows how to tune knows that 12-12.5 is optimum and safe for this car. Why am I "tooting my horn" so to speak be cause I disagree with what you think is an optimal tune?

Come on down, you can race my buddy Rick cammed evo form a 40 roll it would be a fair fight. I'll roll to but I think you win with the SST. We should set up a big track day meet, I was gonna try to do that before my clutch problem.

I never said it was optimal at 11.5 AFR. I told you that 11.5 AFR is what I happen to achieve with just a single "log and tune" pass on Jon's car when it was acting strange (days later turned out to be a coupler leak).

Recently, you went ahead and made assumptions about david's knowledge as a mechanic (after he's giving you several hours of cheap labor), my knowledge in tunning (from a single rushed-by-Jon session), Jon's ability to get tuned by someone other than you, the lack of local support to help Jon win the race.

My only claim is THIS:
Your car, driving skill, and your knowledge of tuning is not superior to the other locals as you like to portray online. I know in person one-on-one you can actually be friendly and humble, but you seem to get carried away and ego-centric when you have an audience (weather its in person/txt/call/internet).

just my 2 cents... i'm done contradicting others in this thread now.

When did I do this? I never said David cant tune I said tuning is EASY and I tried to show John how to do it but he thinks if he turns up the boost he will blow lol That said the basics of tuning is easy but the more you do it you make KEY distinctions... But he could easly turn up his boost thats why he has meth there is no reason to have meth if you run 17psi.

ALSOI have never insulted Davids mechanic abilities and have always paid him for his time, though he does give me generous deals!.... Where did you get I questioned his abilities?

Plus after it's rebuilt and on the road if I call out Joe he won't race.... He only raced me once and that's when he called me out after I got my 3rd mod done. I drove a good 45mons to meet him and his buddy Rick watched them race, raced Rick 2times and Joe once cause he was scared of the cops..

Joe, PM me if you honestly want to disscus that topic.

This race day might turn into a 3rd Cost Rumble since by the time Joe's ready:
- i'll be tuned on the AP (got bored with the SB)
- Tim will have the Cookie Monster running again
- Hamza will be tuned on my old SB
- Jose will have his MS6 transfer case fixed

Lets make it happen!

Ok, things have been settled...
I'm not a amateur tuner at all (30+ hrs on it). Joe just meant to say he's been using the program much longer.
Tim, if your car's ready in time you got dibs on Joe after Jon's race. Both of you, no excuses or name-calling tho. We all need to chill.
I will help plan this 3rd Cost Rumble to hopefully involve several locals and dinner or bbq afterward.

What you talking about Willis? I've never seen him turn you down for a race, but i've lost count how many times you've turned him down for miscellaneous reasons (slipping clutch, running rich, CEL is on, too many cops around, low on gas... ect.).

I thought that was the purge valve, bought a new one and didn't work. Turns out the wire harness was laying on the drivshaft and wore through wires and grounding out a bunch of sensors...

Its prob either your gas cap or purge valve. If it is your purge valve I could sell you mine as I have 2 now. Its $90 bucks form dealer wich is only place to get it. Id sell you mine for half $45.

Look on this thread for a diagram. To test rather its leaking just pinch off the line before the valve and look on your afrs with dashawk or ap and if they go from below 14s at idle to a steady mid 14's while idling then its the valve. If not then prob something else.

Anybody know where the solenoid purge valve is located?

I had to keep myself busy with something different or I would have ended up getting Meth and a Turbo Manifold... and that would have been only one step away from a big turbo build.
This AccessTuner software is a nice swift kick in the balls. It's set me back like 3 steps. So far i only know what to do with about 4 tables...
