Default Hit low 13's

Got to practice on my QTP's. Sucked hardcore til I figured out how to launch the slicks, still some room for improvement I think, but not bad for PIR (not prepped track). 19I is the car (right lane both runs). the 107 (106.93) trap was with 145* BATs, the other run was with 155* BAT's.

Power mods are Intake & tune by me. Obviously the HPFP is a given.

Check out the BAT's on this run. I think this was the highest of the day and I still trapped like 105-105.5. I can only imagine how fast it would be with 90-100* BATs...

How long of a burnout did you do? Also what rpm did you launch at. I got some QTP's and it hasn't stopped raining since. Lol

All but one of the burnouts was in 1st, and they were about 15-20 seconds long, got the tires smoking a bit, then I let the burn out pull me out of the water box. I launched from 5k rpm and it was tricky as I was basically dumping the clutch and powering in and letting the tires scream and pull that fat ass off the line, the shift to 2nd was the tricky part as I had to let the car spin/grab as long as possible in 1st or the shift into 2nd would drop too low and the car wouldn't be very fast.

I did one 2nd gear burn out and it seems to warm up the tires nice and quick, but the car doesn't like it (abs freaks out).

i do have to lol @ .5 seconds slower than the honda with just an intake and tune on the ms3

I FFS into 3rd and 4th. I do not use the FFS functionality in Cobb, it sucks a big one.

It fucks with your fueling. I don't like it, makes the car feel like shit. I can FFS fast enough without it, done it for years on other cars lol

You really want to do about a 10-15 second burnout for sure....I'm not sure that it makes a world of difference or if they just literally arent getting hot enough because I got the same 60ft times out of 5-10 second burnouts as i did on 15-20 second burnouts.

One thing for sure is the sweet spot seems to be 12-14 psi on these tires.

The way to know if your doing a good burnout or not.....If you launch below 4k and take off or if you bog......

For me when the tires were hot enough i couldnt launch below 4.8k to 5k without bogging due to the traction.


I got about 15 passes in on the QTP's now....last time out and couldnt get anything faster than a 1.933 using the 5k LC FYI!

Yeah I played around with the burn outs and the psi, I had them at 12psi hot and they hooked pretty much the same as 12-14psi cold. Keep in mind, PIR is an unprepped track -- it's worse than launching on the street most days of the year. There's FWD cars on DR's/slicks failing to get below 2.2 60fts lol

And I agree on the burn out, seems like it made no difference whether I just warmed them up til they barely let off any smoke, or til I smoked them pretty well.

I held at 5500 ish and blipped the throttle to 6k a few times and when i felt it start to pull i let the ebrake down and smash it to the rev limiter and let it pull me out.

Plus, I don't qualify for any of the classes, 26" slicks are beyond the limit for FWD turbo cars.

I didn't preload, I smoked my clutch pretty badly the first run so I was a bit worried about riding the clutch at high rpm's.
