lenny, the stock passenger motor mount is a hydraulic mount. its fluid filled. you cant fill it with epoxy or urethane. The trans mount you can. But its not the best solution, thats what i did, and it definately needed new mounts. |
Since you got slicks before mounts which was a bad idea, u should get a good clutch before mounts... Or maybe mounts and a clutch...credit card time lol |

I see it now.. Dragging fwd with street clutch probably won't last to Long trying to get 12s...but its understandable its ur daily to? I'm assuming. I had one in my k20 hatch for about 2wks haha then went to a staged one. |
throwback photo: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...2/95238f2a.jpg socks didn't have the cp-e mounts :( |
i appreciate the advice guys, i bought some of this http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/mediawe...SevTSeSSSSSS-- and will proceed to fill the tranny mount. (im aware the passenger cannot be filled , and will not do shit to it) thats all for now, try to keep in mind im not competing with the other heavy hitters and their 400+ whp cars, when I bought this car all I wanted was a solid mid 13 second street ride with 105mph trap. what i do from this point on is more to have something that keeps up with the top performance cars (not the exotics) also , slicks aside I want my car to be 100% identical on/off track, this is my daily driver and will stay in that form. |
Good luck man. There have been a couple of guys pulling high 12's with just an intake, RMM and DRs. So I think you're doing right by focusing on 60'. |
wow, i would love to see an ms3 with an intake and a rmm run 12s with drag radials or slicks. |
Lenn, if you don't want to fuck with the passenger mount, but would still prefer something slightly firmer than stock, why don't you look into the Top Speed mount? It's a good mount that retains the factory design only with a slightly more robust insert. It might help and it's pretty reasonable. Look into it. |
i did, and this seems reasonable. i will inject the urethane on the stock tmm and might buy the awr pmm thanks |

oh i c , talkign smak..... we gonna have to do some sushi roll racing for the 95% of the members here (since they never heard of drag racing lol) well i am gonna run the slicks, but i intend to run em at 25psi or so to get decent traps.... at that psi i can still probably hook in 2nd gear so I should be able to smoke u.... then again, everytime we go we get pwned for a number of reasons.... so im shooting for 14.5 at 98mph!!!! u guys can quote me on this...... 13.4 @112 that is my goal for saturday. anything quicker and or faster and Ill be more than happy. (once i extablish repeatable traps then ill worry about ET) |
to answer the OP : nope u cant niggah, sell the car and get a fucken old chevy |

where the fuck are the results to this? |
Fail |
Lenny thought you were gonna be on the drag strip today? |
In before lengthy post of fail. |
fail launched the slicks at almost 4k...zero hop stock mounts. except rearmm |
Weird no wheel hop??? what did you do to the rear mount?? |
thread title updated |
hmmmmm okies running slicks check zero hop check so far so good...whats the prablem...your running all stock mounts besides rear mount, Well no doubt if you were running the passenger&tranny mount you be golden, but you should have still done respectable...No? I know that answer isnt good by the sounds of things, but I gotta ask. *edit* and besides 3071 mafia sticks together big fella ;) |
^ lol and for rear mount i have trz rmm. i injected the tranny one but i dont think that shit cured inside and its still gooey so w/e..... zero hop at the track....zero! that is the single thing that went right...my launches improved a ton... unfortunately both the car and myself arent ready to match it..... with the lame trap i had and a 2.0 60ft i could have cut a 13.0 ..... that difference of .4 seconds is MY fail as a driver ..... the rest...idk...power just isnt there or i am not utilizing it correctly. but.... i did guess that i would run a 13.4 .... but 110 lol.... 1/2 right there are a couple of videos....we ll post em as soon as i figure out who has em |
Well live to fight another day man...your setup is getting there..looking good..you have made alot of changes recently. I would suppose more time at the strip and get your mounts squared away, should be fine. |

here is a 2.0 60ft followed by and awesome 4th gear miss..... yeah u heard right i missed 4th gear trying to powershift it.... here is me trying to do a burnout past the water and basically pulling out immediately..result is obvious ...no heat pure spin pure fail |
Get a real tune. :poke: On the first video you can see that bitch not spooling up until you are halfway through your 60. |
You forgot to say "too soon junior". |

i spent the last hour fast shifting and half powershifting 2-3 i got it enough to hold 8lbs of boost between gears, I need to keep practicing and bring that up to closer to 15-17lbs at least ,once that is down the 8th mph will go up 2-3mph and then ill work on the rest |
Forgive me, it is late. I forgot you love to ride the clutch... Feel free to insert smart ass remark about someones Mom or your sexual preference here. |

glad u made it ese |
Lenny I'm thinking mounts to reduce motor movement, shifter bushings to reduce shifter slop, and an STS to reduce throw distance (I think the SSPs increase throw effort too much) Sent from my iPhone using lame ass Tapatalk |
Whose is the other silver 3? Looks like he had a 108 trap in the second race. Maybe switch the drivers? This coming from a lifetime bench racer, so abuse accordingly. |
Need a camerman mod. |
launch doesn't seem bad at all. go back to irvine and practice more. lol |
launch was the ONLY shit i got right |
Other driver is JCMS3 Sent from my iPhone using lame ass Tapatalk |
