I put a street tune on it with pump gas last week.

Just waiting on dyno availability to tune it on ethanol.

I know that 2014 will be an awesome year for the Mazdaspeed platform.

Then with all that said I think only my car and Gerry's are running at the moment... and we're two of the three who have shitty weather for a while still.

I see Lumberjack hitting 10's first since he should have the first chance and has the most seat time, then I see Gerry ending up quickest/fastest for the year, the rest are all a toss up to me right now, but overall I think everyone I mentioned will get it this year at some point honestly.

But i agree with Nishan and Realgib. Its cool to see the platform grow, and see more and more people go big turbo and drag race.

Speeds have been underdogs too long and relatively unknowns in the import drag racing world. 2014 will be interesting.

I think Bryce ends up overall winner based on a few factors.

Seat time is by far the most important. The ability to launch a FWD car with serious HP is something not many can do.
Also, the mental readiness is huge also. Being consistent and hitting all your gears in a high hp car while fighting to keep it straight is no joke. Those gears end real fast.
And in talking with Bryce, he understands the other dynamics that come with a well balanced car. You can have all the power you want, but if your suspension is sub par, youre losing time.
There are other factors that we talk about but.....

block will actually be built myself, machine work done by a local shop and sleeves/orings completed by Golden Eagle.

I honestly think all of us listed are going to be hitting 10's, whoever does it first will be whoever can get out there first. We will then be pushing each other into the mid and low 10's. I think the time will honestly swap between everyone considering all of our shit stays running without issues.

Whoever has the most seat time will probably take a considerable lead too. I know for a fact, not driving my car for so long I will fail until I get seat time lol.

My car currently runs like a champ and pulls hard (Stock Motor)

Built Block is being done By non other than @atvfreek; himself as well.

Motor will have cnc'd head and be keyed/pinned.

My first opportunity if the motor is in and broke in will be February 16th at Bakersfield, track there will be tits and well prepped as there is an IFO event for the big boys of FWD in the honda realm.
