Stock MS3 vs an Intake and Header Si... This speed driver can't drive but he still wins.



I can get a lot more videos of an MS3 beating an Si than an Si beat an MS3. We all know civic owners post every "kill" than can get but most speed owners don't even give a shit that they beat a civic so its not even on film most of the time.

One day driving on a local road here a civic with intake tune and exhaust decided to mess with me from a stop. I didnt even know he was racing until i heard the vtec..i decided to leave him in second (limited boost) and when i went to third and had a few cars on him i turned off the road going to a friends house. My friend - who was stock at the time - decided to race the same civic after and wound up beating the civic. I'm not impressed. Any car can beat any car depending on the amount of work done to it. Hands down, mod for mod, a speed 3 will beat a civic every time (driver depending)

ok the first vid is me and i will say this my car was running like complete shit its been stated the chase car even vouched for me on this. i took all that shit off and i put 3 cars on him from 50-100. oh and everyone i told you he was talking about my video. now six6 if we wanted any lip outta you we'd pull it off your daddy's dick.

i raced an Si at the track, and he took me by half a car length. My 2010 is bone stock. Not sure what the SI had but it was not stock. At the very least it had exhaust, intake and a chip, it was also a newer one (2006-7) i guess.

there quick cars for NA, not sure why everyone hates on them.

Don't get me wrong. Like ive said, i am a fan of ALL cars and I respect all of them in their own ways. Just all this hate between both gets annoying. In all honesty a modded MS3 vs a Modded Si (if both cars are of equal value) the MS3 WILL win every time. (again driver dependent)

Si's are slow stock...and with bolt-ons. It takes thousands of dollars and SLICKS to break 12's. They're not bad cars, but some people talk them up waaaaaaay too much.

Alright, i just looked at cost for a new SI. It showed for 24,905 Im going to use a straight 25k to make it easier. My speed cost me 24,325 so again f it and raise it to 25k. Stock to stock MS3 vs stock SI - MS3

Intake + Exhaust vs intake + exhaust - MS3

Its the same shit with other cars. Enough with this "OMG YOU HAVE STOCK TURBOOOOOO" Means nothing, cars are worth the same dollar amount except mine comes with a turbo and yours comes vtec.

Same with an STI and an MS3
Mod to mod with the same drivers the STI will just win. Add a better driver to either car and then that driver will win. Add one mod more than the other and then that car will win.

Some of the Civic fanbase hasn't changed in the last few years. When I was on svtperformance forums, Si fanboys got on there and talked shit to the Cobra guys too. In a world now full of such uncertainty, it's great that we know there will always be asswipes like them. Talking about things that they have no idea about, groping for reasons to make something what it's not, and coming onto other forums just to irritate the piss out of people. I'm easy going enough that I can just play along though. So, by all means, continue to make me laugh.

For the record, I really don't think that Civics are bad cars, but for God's sake...I hate people...

well i was at importfaceoff this weekend at the new england dragway there was some fast si's up there 06-09 si's....the best time i saw was a 14.6.....and it was a turbo'd one lol...so lets say you bought the si brand new so 20-24k then bought the turbo kit which a decent one brand new is like 3-4 grand then tuning and the install is another 600-1000 dollars then you buy fresh 19inch chrome spinners with your pep boys special shit ass tires and at the end of the day you spent like 30grand for a car that still runs .6 seconds slow then my car in the 1/4 mile lol....you si guys are pathetic lol i dont even talk about beating si's lol haha ...and i "had" respect for si's too before i saw this haha

half those videos u guys posted aren't even legit..intake si vs stock ms3 its a close race until 4th gear where the speed will pull away. intake header exhaust its even, intake header exhaust flashpro and tune, vs ms3 with intake, and it will get better gas mileage than ms3, look better than ms3, be more reliable, handle better, and still be faster than ms3 on top of all that...

Lol, a Si with an intake is not going to keep anywhere near a MS3 until 4th gear you asshat. I had a fucking Si, and no, there is not a godamn way it could do that, intakes may give our cars 25 whp, but they only give your car around 8 whp.

A stage 1 SC is nothing special. It is only running 6psi & mid 200whp numbers are to be expected. Stage 2 to will put down 295whp with a 3.15" wheel. 295whp in a 2900lb car will give any stock turbo MS3 a run.

You went from a MS3 to a Si??? I did the opposite, so I'm curious as to what made you change. This is a legit question, not looking for flaming.

Honestly? I saw far too many fellow posters blow their engines with the same mods as I had. I spent 6 months tuning my MS3, including taking it to Cobb for a pro tune. Neither could make it run without KR, and it was getting worse. Even meth was not helping. I figured it was either trade it for a Civic while it was still running, or buy a new engine at some point.

Why go to a Civic? Reliability. I knew I could put a GT35 on a Civic & get over 400whp on stock internals if I wanted. I will most certainly put a turbo on the car at some point. I know I can pretty much make whatever I want out of an FF platform with this car.

You want a legit answer, there it is. People can flame & argue all they like, but watching fellow posters, who had helped me with my build, and who I had helped, blow their engines, was honestly making me sick. These were good people who knew what they were doing with their cars, not someone running stupid boost levels, AFRs or timing. I have absolutely no regrets.

Not everyday you see someone go from FI to NA. But if you're planning on throwing a big turbo on, it looks like you still have the itch for boost. I can't figure out if I like that you went to a Civic instead of a SRT-4 or Cobalt SS. All 3 cars are meh to me.

It's a little disheartening to see the blown motor thread but it feels like a lot of headway has been made in understanding the DISI. Fuel delivery seems to be very important nowadays.

I thought about everything from an Cobalt to an Evo, but I decided I wanted to build it myself. When things go well, I really love working on my car.

With the addition of I/H/E and a custom tune it can reach those kinds of numbers with a Stage 2 S/C on a Dynojet. A lot of the them tend to end up around 280 whp though. Nothing a MS3 with an intake and tune can't beat, JNR5005 has already proven that several times.

I've seen dynos over 300whp on Stage 2 SC builds. If you want to believe a bolted stock turbo MS3 will always beat a bolted Stage 2 SC Civic, that's fine with me. It is probably more of a driver's race, IMO.

I have to admit, that 230whp SC Civic was funny, tho. I have seen 230whp dynos with the mods I have on my car.

I had an 06 Si Civic for over a year and was one of Honda's biggest fans but the reality is that is a slower car than the MS3 is in every way. Not hating, its just the way it is. I liked the Civic, and drove Honda's for 10+ years but nowadays sometimes competition is a good thing because it breeds damn good cars, and the MS3 is one of them.

lol, the car i owned before this was an Si coupe. I can say day in and day out that the MS3 is faster and we all know it. He knows it.

100% the civic is MUCH easier to drive compared to the ms3

P.S. I had a I/H/E RSX-S which is a little faster than a Civic Si but not by much. My Stock MS3 is way, and I mean WAY faster. And by no means am I bad driver. I have been driving Autocross for 2 years now. Also I am a psychology student, that is why I think you should get that condition checked out.
