I'm going to go with my gut instinct and say that the track, vids, slips, and dynos are all bogus. I never even heard of a track called atco and the people in the vid looked like paid actors.

Lol, jealousy's a motherfucker.

Grumpyjap 12-05-2011 12:54 PM

Go Drew!!!!!!!!!!!

faeker 12-05-2011 12:58 PM

awesome shit Drew!!

Hectik1 12-05-2011 01:06 PM

Watching the in car vid, once your car got traction, it was fucking GONE! Damn!:boggled:

doubleflusher 12-05-2011 01:16 PM

Yeah, I've upped the boost since my 517whp dyno, and I don't have a slipping clutch any more.

It pulls like a fucking beast.

What were your thoughts on the hoosiers? i am about to throw mine in the garbage.

I like the Hoosiers, but they're the only slicks I've ever tried.

driver311 12-05-2011 05:17 PM

The hoosiers are garbage for your power. trust me Im close to 100whp less and going faster. Im just way quicket in the 330. Those hoosiers are a good option for most but not guys over 400whp. I assure you I would run 10.9@127 in your car on my slicks. The best part is their gonna be way more consistant.

Congrats anyhow man. Thats a big hurdle.

ps. If you have an aftermarket clutch thats why your having problems shifting fast and getting in gear. Its just gonna be the case on this car and thats why stock will stay on my car. Those aftermarket clutches do a great job of holding the power but there is no way you can shift as fast with them. Ask Lenny he experienced the same issues. And itll only get worse. Its pretty disappointing.

How about you get out there with your slicks and see what you can do??? lol

Raider 12-05-2011 06:28 PM

According to Fox News, Atco is a liberal Occupier 1/8 mile track with a +200 hp Fudgatronic dyno. I call bullshit...

MS3MYK 12-05-2011 06:35 PM

That's sick! Can't wait to see people start breaking into the 10s

doubleflusher 12-05-2011 06:45 PM

Yeah, the Hoosiers were pretty inconsistent. Some runs I would spin, others I'd hook.

I guess Toyo slicks it is for next year.

I have no choice but to run an aftermarket clutch. The OEM clutch can't handle the power I'm putting down.

Fail_6 12-05-2011 07:45 PM

Wow, awesome trap speed. Highest I've seen so far for an MS3, I believe. Could be wrong. Judging by the launch and 60ft, not to mention the power lol, there's still some tenths itching to come off that slip :burnout:

Jake5713 12-05-2011 08:09 PM

congrats man!!

More than a couple. IF his car is truely making 100whp more than mine his car has 126-128 traps at sealevel track and puttin it all together, Burnout, Lauch, 2nd gear, 3rd gear, 4th gear, 5th gear and hold the fuck on. With 500+whp it has no choice. LOL

Im sure its a handful to drive, I know mine is. The first 3 gears happen sooo fast. LOL

Agreed, but damn it's going to be tough as hell though to bang gears with the upgraded clutch. Sucks the stocker can't handle it, but then again you're in the 400whp range and it's holding it's own, so we can't really can't rip on it too much. Even if he doesn't take on Arnold's leg workout to pop the clutch faster lol, a good launch and better tires will still net very low 11's with that power. That's still a hell of an accomplishment on this platform. Honestly, I applaud the hell out of all the guys tracking their cars and bringing respect to this platform, FWD or AWD. It takes multiple runs before you put it all together, but when it finally does come together......shit what a feeling

So what do you think - time to talk to some people and get the stock pressure plate rebuilt with stronger springs?

Im not sure but it sure sucks that people been having so many issues with them. They seem to hold the power but just wont shift fast. Its like it wont fully disengage. Plus I hate the fast engagement cause the shock factor is more liable to break something or cause more spin.

laxplayermjd 12-06-2011 09:22 AM

i can shift wot and fast just fine with my clutchmasters fx100, we dont know whats up with dj's yet. But i added a stainless steel clutch line that helped. It does have a strange feel to it at times, possibly because the pressure plate is too stiff for the hydraulics. but ive never been locked out of gear and it grabs hard.

The act that skates is running seem to be good, he ran that 11 with it, but i dont think its due to be released until spring

rigor 12-11-2011 06:19 PM

mine shifts fine

the clutch i have is identical to the one they sell now except that its rated to hold a little more power because of a different friction compound. FWIW 2X is running the older design (aka not my friction material) and he hasent had any problems.

LiEast 12-11-2011 06:40 PM

congrats bro thats freaken awesome...

i hate that theres no perfect clutch option i do love the stock one hopping mine holds lol clutchmasters is the ish tho didnt know they made a MS3 version

darksun is just jelly his evo cant keep up... its a shame :D

taf0422 12-11-2011 07:56 PM

My bad. I got this thread and the other confused.

I saw just the other video. Thank you

dturboman 12-12-2011 11:08 AM

Have any logs?

Are you power shifting?

Atco is normally one of the easier tracks to run a killer time at... Ran 12.3s @ 116 on a C5 vette with only an intake and exhaust there on stock run flats.

When you go back I want to run you... Keep in mind I will be making about 400-410whp vs your 500whp.

I lay my best time prediction of 11.77@ 120.

You in?

doubleflusher 12-12-2011 11:10 AM

I have a few logs.

No I wasn't power shifting. I can make up a lot of time by shifting better.

We can run.

We'll have to wait until spring.

dturboman 12-12-2011 11:14 AM

Atco should be back open around jan 5th... they don't close for long... unless things have changed
