New worlds Fastest MS6!!!!

yep, went to MIR today despite the suspected rain and ran a best of 12.24 @114. car has HORRIBLE spark blowout all day until this run and it was the best i could muster. can def has 11's in it but i need to get some issues sorted out first.

gutted car weight was 3425 w/o me in it, yes i was shocked and dont know if the scale was broken but o well.

here are the slips, i can take a pict of the number on the car (196 always left lane) as well if you want and i have vids of all the runs but my 12.2 lol

world record:

Gratz mang.....So i guess its safe to say that 60 ft gets into the 1.7 area you are in the 11s?

jhershorin 05-15-2011 06:13 PM

Typically every 10th you knock off in the 60 is a two tenths off in the 1/4...sounds like ricer math but somehow it usually proves close to accurate.

NM joel just proved this last week at the track lol

nindoja 05-15-2011 06:19 PM

Dang, congrats dude! It makes me wish I wasn't stuck in training all day today otherwise I would have made it out to witness this.

rodrigo 05-15-2011 06:36 PM

good job anthony...... why is your 8th mph a bit low compared to 1/4 trap??? wut rpm u launch this bitch at?

blackstar 05-15-2011 07:16 PM

congrats dude

WhoIsJeremy 05-15-2011 07:29 PM

Congrats. loving how Nator dc is taking over!

You know what this means Charles!

MonstaSpeed6 05-15-2011 07:49 PM

Where is Charles to see this?

Decepticon 05-15-2011 08:54 PM

NICE!!!! i've been waiting for you to run again. Get the issues sorted out and hit 11's.

Stealth01 05-15-2011 08:59 PM

Nicely done, dude! It's the colored wheels!

NJSPEED3 05-15-2011 08:59 PM

Congrats Anthony!

Lil more seat time = 11s

driver311 05-15-2011 09:05 PM

Nice job. Its weird when you compare out runs. I trapped almost exactly the same as you at 114 but Im a full 2mph higher in the 8th? Must be the gearing cause my car is right at redline in 4th gear. I need to get back to the track and try using some of 5th. I might try and get back out there on 24 inch slicks to see if itll put me closer to 5th gear redline at 116-118.

Still waiting for all you big turbo awd guys to beat my 60fts. LOL Just messin.

MonstaSpeed6 05-15-2011 09:37 PM

Yeah he's rocking the same 215 width street tires, and on stock heavy ass wheels. I am sure that if he ran RP1's he'd be close to matching you. He's even running stock clutch, flywheel, etc. There's still a lot of potential to be pulled out of it.

Maybe we'll run 11's when Charles gets his new axles.

PunjabiPlaya 05-15-2011 09:40 PM

fix that shit and 11s. doooo eetttttt

fasting to lose more weight?

AZSPEED3 05-15-2011 09:45 PM

Congrats man, great time. Car needs a diet, break into the 11's.

litalien18 05-15-2011 09:50 PM

Badass man!

spiker98 05-15-2011 09:54 PM

Whatev...I was expecting 11's

Congrats though I guess....

i started the day at 4k and couldent break 2.0's so i bumped it to 4800 and she held good enough for 1.86. i dunno how much more i can go before she slips but i guess we'll see.

rodrigo 05-15-2011 10:45 PM

good shit anthony.....i was launching the motherfucker from 5200 to 6k once (6puck) held fine....even did 2nd gear burnouts...

Dude, that just hurts my head.

You are probably going to have to launch 5k + to really burn up the 60ft. I can't wait to get out there...

Edit: Plus you and I both need to ditch these stock heavyweight wheels

meeker13 05-15-2011 10:58 PM

Its still weird to me to see a 12 sec speed 6. I'd be lucky to see a high 13 in mine at this altitude (5,000ft) Morrison,CO

None the less, very impressive man!

Lex 05-15-2011 11:17 PM

Grats on the time! You still having blowout issues?

MazdaGaragePat 05-16-2011 05:52 AM

Congrats man ! !

You definately have a reserve to improve your time with current setup.
Fix your issues to get higher speed trap and run lower 60 ft and 11's will be yours ! ...but you know it yourself :)

I wish to get back to the track sooner to compete you guys in 11's battle ;)

Where the hell did you come from?

Your MS6 sounds badass dude!

I don't even care who runs 11s first. I just want to see this god damn platform make it over that hump. Anthony, Charles, MPS Pat?, Dustin, Anthony, Me, Gerry, or Joe Blow down the street - I just wanna see this shit happen. Seeing as basically all the contenders have cars that don't work, it leaves it to those who have working cars (uhum... Anthony... Gerry...).

GIT 'ER DUN

No it would be easy for you. I ran a 13.8 in my MS3 on the stock K04 and another member on the Colorado forums ran a 13.7 in her MS6 on the stock K04. I honestly think mid 13's is possible on street tires on the stock K04 so you should hit mid to low 13's with the 28 on there.

But nice run OP!

qtrmile beast 05-16-2011 09:44 AM

Well i want to say CONGRATS and after this post i will pull my sig... I am really curious of your weight though as you shouldn't be that heavy especially full striped??? I would expect that you should be in the 3100-3200 range??

I did go because i have a lot of cars i have to get done at my house and also anthony told me at the last second about going.. when ever i get my parts list taken care of if anthony wants to go again then him and i will run TOGETHER side by side to the 11's!! Once again CONGRATS and now it is time for me to go back into my lab and work on my special sauce!!!
Hey anthony i ment to as you how boost did you end up with??

spnkr21 05-16-2011 09:52 AM

Nice run man. It's one wall after another... Get that blowout fixed!

Super.. i told you have some light 17's that you can use i just have to get some tires for them. But i think i am going to stick with my 19s for right now...

Well i said i was going to chill til someone broke my time so now i have two people that have knocked me out of the lead within a month. Time to step back in and regain the title!!!! counting the days...

My Nigga. Great Job Brother!!! Very proud of you. Try the HKS again.... was the one you tried back in the day used or with the SB or something?

What have you stripped besides spare, fuel rail gaurd, and foam you love? lol You should PM Logan (RhoadBlock)... he stipped the hell out of his MS6, and it down to 3,100 lbs already. He did tear the thing apart though! No radio, etc.. little extreme, but 3,100lbs is pretty damn good. Head Unit, Sub, SPeakers weigh a ton, but he must've scrapped a lot more to get that skinny. Hit him up.

FUU for no vids!! wtf ;)

well you know that i am full interior about 3330lbs right now and if i strip my car i would be about 3100 or so lbs. But what i can't understand is why was he 34xx with the car stripped?

Full tank of gas like a n00b? LOL... IDK... maybe scale needs to be calibrated? I don't know what he's gotten rid of already.

Skates, how much gas did you have? IIRC that weight like 6.5ish lbs/gallon. I assume 1/8th tank is safe to run on.

Well 10 gallons which is well over half is only 65lbs and a full tank would only be about 98 lbs....
I am thinking with a stripped interior and full tank you should still be in the 3300s some where.. i do know that if he were to put some lighter tires and wheels on there he would save about 8lbs per corner

BGofMD 05-17-2011 09:50 PM

gratz fellow nator dc homies! keep up the smashin qtr miles :D cant wait to see what you pull out charles =P

GRats SUPER its good to know that 11 seconds is coming... it feels like forever

superskaterxes 05-18-2011 07:37 PM

i removed full trunk, full back seat, and passenger seat. i had about 1/3 a tank of gas. i was REALLY surprised to see i actually weighed as much as i did.

i cant even imagine where else i could shave weight, sitting on milk carton FTW!? lol

i MAY go back this sunday as im itching hardcore for 11's. i lowered my plug gap to .025 with no change in the studder issue. for all i know it could be the same issue ive been chasing for months.

charles u gona be ready by then?

DO it!! Plan it so you barely make it there on fumes, then throw in 2-3 gallons of race fuel. I assume you were running 110oct at the track already? You can get rid of that brace in the trunk that your pumps not mounted on... or is it already gone? PM Rhoadblock bro, he has a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Don't forget to take a big dump before you leave.

AND BRING A CAMERA or I'm gonna drive down there and :op:

WhoIsJeremy 05-18-2011 08:53 PM

well i just pulled my spare, the carpet covering the spare, the factory jack, CPE turbo back single exhaust, at the time megan springs, and stock wheels with nitto nt 555 extreme tires(25lbs each) and a 1/4 tank of gas with FULL interior and i weighed 3410....

Now i have the advans ( about 5lbs per corner) nitto neo gens 245/35/19 tires(22lbs each) act clutch kit which i think is about 15-18+lbs lighter then stock and H&R coils(not sure of weight difference compaired to stock) I think that is all and i weigh 3370 with a almost 3/4 tank of gas.

I pulled my front seat out just to see what it would weigh and the car got down to 3310 with 3/4 tank of gas!! 3/4 tank is about 60lbs and a 1/4 tank is about 20lbs(6.5lbs for 1 gal of gas x 1/4 tank which is about 3-4 gals)

in the picture below (my sig0 i weighed about 3370 but that was before the brembo brakes which i think are about 3-5lbs lighter per caliper and about 2-3lbs lighter than ea rotor!! so this should put me at about 3350.. I plan to strip my car when i go back as well and i hope to be in the low 3200s if not the 3100 range..We'll see..

Now as far as my car i should have my axle by next friday!!! and i will be installing my turbine tech front motor mount this weekend. so i should be hitting the track either next weekend or the weekend after that..

I am thinking i want to get on the dyno before i go and i am also thinking about turning up the boost.. not sure..

superskaterxes 05-19-2011 10:56 AM

even 2NR with the GT version with the same deductions weighed the exact same weight as me. But he did have some lighter wheel at the time but it still was full interior!! also orlando (thebigO) i think was about 3500 with his spare in the trunk and light weight wheels..

Well i know he doesn't weigh as much as i do as i weigh 252lbs!! i think skater is about what 190 maybe? i am going to work on getting some light/sticky tires for my 17 wheels and i will let him use those and see what happens. I will also see what i can do to help with his weight. I will look through the car at the upcoming monday meet!!

190! OUCH! hahah

actually closer to 175 but every pound counts! ill gut my car for the monday meet like i do for the track to see where i can improve. i dont want to go crazy as i just like to remove the easy stuff for sake of a few tenths. if i made the same power in an evo/sti who weigh 3200 out of the box i wouldent be complaining haha.

not eating for the next week to save weight, go!

Skater has the body of a 12 year old ballerina. Us 250+ guys have to make actual power to get our asses down the track meanwhile the light weights get to granny shift into the 11's.

Well nice run Anthony! :) Maybe the scales are off? Hopefully you get your spark blowout fixed, We all know your car has 11's in it.

Hoping for higher trap speed though, gosh dam our gearing is short..your ms6 is what close to 400 whp?...Hoping for 116-118 traps....Are you bottoming out on 4th?

I know Forzda and others tried using 5th at the end, and it actually ended up hurting the trap speed, But Im a drag noob.
Regardless you got a pretty fast ms6 and its glad to see someone out there trying to get shit done on the strip! :)

on stock turbo shifting at 6k i was well into 5th by the time i hit the 1320 (fully bolted, stock was a gamble 4th or 5th)

now im shifting at 7k and i think im about 1/4 the way through 5th when i trap.

Tie the steering wheel to the seat so it drives straight, then amputate your left arm. That should save 20-30lbs. My car must weigh close to 2 tons w/ my fat ass in there and zero weight reduction mods :/. I plan on ditching spare + back seat (maybe) for my first runs. I'd like to lose weight, but perhaps I'll sell my turbo down the road and swap in a ts35 instead, haha. NOS maybe? As a last ditch effort to shave weight, wear panties instead of your tighty whities and get a haircut :).

+1 to wearing panties

And that's what I'm doing... Fuck having to be a good driver... If I throw enough power into my car, it'll go fast

remove all the car's body panels

drive naked after a full body wax

Amputate your left leg instead of the arm (leg weighs more than arm). Then use left arm to depress clutch instead of left leg
