Papasmurf runs a 11.776 @ 123mph 3 Attachment(s) First and foremost I need to thank a handful of people. @djuosnteisn; For the spectacular tune and time he has spent with me getting my car to where it is today, Dustin is a great friend and person for helping me out with my build whenever I asked. PERM the fuck on! @jmhinkle; Also has been a solid part of my build, we use to live together and my car sat for 8 months in our garage, he has also spent a decent amount of time wrenching and giving insight on my build. Thanks Joel! @EdgeAutosport.com; @JP@edgeautosport.com; For the great deals on parts! no matter what, even if they couldn't get me a part.. they found a way to. Much respect for JP and Alan.. still waiting on my neon yellow sticker faggots! @SPEEDPERF6RMANC3; for their Port injection kit, This kit has worked wonders as far as fuel goes, yes it is most def overboard but I have enough fuel to make as much power as ill ever need, thanks for the kit fellas. For anyone else that has answered questions for me through PM's, Texts and phone calls. Thanks fellas, NATOR is by far the best group of people in the car community that I could think of, nobody comes close. Now on to the good shit. I have to first mention this, the altitude here is 5500ft ASL, the density altitude was 69XX, so just below 7000ft ASL. I had 3 good passes on the night until I eventually ran into one of my catch cans leaking oil onto my front driver side tire and I had to call it quits, the track also decided to close early so it kinda worked out. I truly believe the way this car is set up now can easily go 11.5's. I just have to get that perfect run in, still a couple months left of track season out here and super cool weather. 1st run: 11.934 @ 125.15mph, 1.861 60ft 2nd run 11.933 @ 124.89mph, 1.890 60ft 3rd run 11.776 @ 123.161, 60ft in the left lane was broken as you can tell from my time slips below. The car absolutely dead hooked on this run, if I were to guess I would def say a 1.7XX 60ft maybe quicker? I am for sure going to be back at the track this season and going for @NJSPEED3; record. Thanks again to the NATOR family. I only got one gopro video of the 11.776 which is very very droned out for some reason, Maybe because it was inside the car. I will post the video once I edit it etc. One of my buddies got some of the 11.9 runs on a really good HD camera and ill post those once he posts them. Droned out gopro and my fail driving haha. |
Grats. |

Congratulations. Nice traps. Would be interesting to see what you can do a little closer to sea level. |
Back to the track with you, Teddy!! @Voltron Locos; |
great job, subn 4 da vids |
Great times man take it down to sea level if you can, it would be a monster |
Congrats again Rob. Like i was saying to you last night, that car is a monster. Bring that car down from the clouds and its a low 11 second beast. Im happy as hell for you and i knew you could kill it. Looks like i got some work to do lol. Congrats again buddy! |
CONGRATSS!! :You_Rock_Emoticon::You_Rock_Emoticon: |
1 Attachment(s) Dayum son! |
Head out here to Houston. We have Royal Purple raceway out here and with the sun still warm the track stays hot. Congrats on the time. |
jesus christ 5.2 to the 330ft. What are you baking cookies instead of driving? With 95 1/8 traps and terrible 330's I'd say even with you driving that car can go 11.2-11.3 on that track same power and setup you are at. Stop dicking around on the 1-2 shift. My guess is you are probably spinning, thinking shit is sweet, then shifting into second early. |
Fix dat shit and get back there tonight son! Any vids? |
http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8328/8...8bd957a693.jpg 60 ft is traction and little bit of technique. 330 ft is how far and quick you can shift the 1-2. |
Look At Gerry's Vid he's another one. Shifted into 2nd like 3 feet out lol. He still went faster though but that's negligible. |
Congrats bro, and at elevation that is huge! |

I was def spinning in first and I had my pressure down to 8psi, I think I need to do a little longer burnout. I was literally letting the car bang limiter about 2-3 times before I shifted to 2nd so it wouldn't bog. I'll be in Houston for tx2k, hoping to trailer my car there, def bring it to the track. What he just said helped me quite a bit. Watching my vids counts as cheating. |
Congrats Rob! No need to go lower than 8psi or do a longer burnout. Play with the LC and make 10 maps separated by 100 RPM for LC. (ex. 5200, 5300, etc.) If you spin, lower the launch RPM by 100. If you bog, raise the launch RPM by 100. The track conditions will dictate what RPM you need to launch at. Launching a big power MS3 isn't easy. You need practice. Don't shift to 2nd until after the 60' mark/cone. |

I know for a fact I can shift quicker, it was my first time ever at a drag strip on slicks so I was more concentrating on hitting gears. Def room for a lot of improvement. Hopefully he posts the videos sometime soon. He usually waits till Mondays to edit and post. I am also thinking I need to lower my launch control to control spin a little it was only at 5700 though. Next time out I'm going longer burnouts for sure. Sent from your girlfriends tapabedroom |
Nice work! |
Congratulations Rob. Sick time @ high altitude. |
This is what our platform needs. It makes people want to go faster. |

Traction on DD tires just kills the 60' times. I really question how the magazine tests get this car to a 14 in stock trim. Time for some slicks I guess. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk 2 |

video added, I guess I learned not to keep the gopro in cabin at night, cant see much plus its super droned out. |

You have to put the "Spot Meter" function "ON" on the GoPro when filming at night from inside a car. This gets you the best video at night when mounted inside a low light area. BTW your car is fucking violent going down the track LOL jeez man good stuff! |
Good shit Rob, congrats on the record! Keep pushing the platform guys! |
Congrats man!! PU love |
|
Pu's are gonna pu. :spankme: :You_Rock_Emoticon: |
Awesome time. If only you were at sea level, you'd be running low 11s near 130. |
Congrats man, this was a great weekend for speeds all around. I'd love to see a little back and forth from pu to won with the 1/4 times. It's only a matter of time before we all start seeing some 10's. |

Sure glad to see you have great success - now you won't get pissed and mod that 335. I'd put money on the smurf being the first 10s MS3. Gotta show those juans that the 100lbs we gained was just in sex appeal. |
Nice! Even for a Pu :P |
Congrats, it's great to see more and more people pushing the envelope. Can't wait to see this thing @ better altitude and a better DA! Teddy, get your ass back to the track lol |

Don't get me wrong there are some nights its packed, but usually this late in the season it isn't. There is 3 only more TnT dates set on their schedule. Oct 12th, 26th and November 9th.. all of which are day racing. |
Congrats, nice to see that the SP PI system is working well for you. |
I haz been reinspired. |

I'll be going with a group from the local forums, truestreetcars, a bunch of high horsepower v8's and surpas. Should be reserving a room soon, at the moment I'm not 100% positive if my car is going because the only way I'll bring it is if I can trailer it and at the moment I do not have a spot on a trailer. My body will be there though. Sent from your girlfriends tapabedroom |

2nd worst case you only need a trailer on the way home. |
