superskater breaks records

so rich and i went to capital raceway yesterday. it was a nice chilly 40 deg and it was essential empty. track prep was horrible as it wasent an NHRA track so i dont think they put anything down.

first run of the night i spun though 1st AND 2nd along with a few other AWD cars. i then proceeded to toast my clutch. i let it cool off and it was ok for a run or two but then it was gone again. so i did a few runs where i just rolled out so see what i would trap. i was consistently trapping 117-118 all night.

on the last run of the night (#9 for me and #15 for rich) i lined up with him and just said fuck it and ripped one. i had to lower my LC down to 4k from 4800 but i managed a 1.88 60' and the rest was history. i picked up 4mph from the last time i went and did my 12.2. i also weighed my car and it was 3640, gutted, with me in it and a few things from work.

rich did an amazing 13.2 @107 for only having TMIC/Intake/Tip and being his first time ever at the track. he even pulled a 1.7X 60'!!!

this slip is both of us and the one he snapped his axle on lol

Damn nice.

RhoadBlock 10-29-2011 03:56 PM

Well done sir. That puts you just above Charles - fastest in the US and 2nd only to Pat right??

Also I PMd you. Shipped you part out today.

MZR165 10-29-2011 04:08 PM

Nice goin...11's are right around the corner!

rfinkle2 10-29-2011 04:52 PM

Awesome times for both of you.

I'm so glad that Richie got the AP after his troubles with the other software he was using.

Looks like both of you have things dialed in nicely.

Sorry about the axle, but hp = snapping parts. LOL

zoom1&zoom2 10-29-2011 04:55 PM

BADASS!!!!

MZR165 10-29-2011 05:27 PM

Nicely done there sir!

shadesofgray19 10-29-2011 07:32 PM

So you are basically an 11 second car on a real track since a 1.88 60 foot is not that good for these cars. I think you could get down to a 1.65 to 1.70 with a prepped track.

DONOTBUGME 10-29-2011 07:40 PM

thought driver311 was ontop with his 11.7

Decepticon 10-29-2011 07:42 PM

Great job!! most definitely into 11's next time around.

qtrmile beast 10-29-2011 07:48 PM

Currently he is the fastest speed6 in the US is what he is saying and second in the world that is recorded i believe and i am number 3..driver is the fastest speed3 in the US. Congrats superskater we now need to work on your weigh!!!

RichieRichness 10-29-2011 09:45 PM

Kick ass bro.

BobbleHead 10-30-2011 02:18 AM

Nice! would've been badass if you broke 11s so a US MS3 and a US MS6 would've broken it around the same time!

TexasSpeed3 10-30-2011 08:02 AM

damn great times. get ur happy ass on a good track and run again. tho u might hook and break something like rich.

kmac 10-30-2011 09:23 AM

Good shit , happy for y bro. Now just beat the ruskies and get the record back I'm the us.

dougefresh_ 10-30-2011 12:58 PM

I was waiting on you to pick a clutch so I can pick one lol. Where did you get one from and how much? saw some act six pucks on ebay for 650ish IIRC

im still leary though and am leaning towards a spec3+,or fx300 what made you go ACT

qtrmile beast 11-02-2011 06:04 PM

Let me chime in here if i may. I have had ACT clutch in EVERY car that i have owned and i have not had a one problem with any of them. I will also add that outside of this car here i dont think those car we close to the torque rating that they put out there for their clutches. So with that said i have had my current ACT clutch in my car for over 25000 and as anthony knows i have put my car THROUGH THE RINGER as well as the clutch.

I currently hold that fastest 60ft record which was done on the stock clutch but i backed that up with the act in it. The clutch currently holds like when it was new. The pedal is slightly heavy but i am a pretty strong guy so it doesn't bother me. I have not dynoed my car as of yet with my current set up but i believe i am pretty close to his torque/hp only based on the times that we both have run since are within .2 of each other.

I have not experienced that CM clutch so i really can't speak upon that but i have had the spec and i lasted me about 1000 miles and it started slipping so out with that and in with the ACT and no looking back.

Also this car is not a car that you want to keep taking the tranny out to install a clutch with. so based upon the history of all the clutches so far and since he needs one right now i would go ACT. my .02 cents..

The spec+2 is the clutch that i had in my car FYI!!!

wette460 11-02-2011 06:08 PM

^^^ this +1. And is EM stage 3+ able to hold up to the torque from 400+ whp? Let us know how it feels after the install Anthony. Mine is slipping as well :(

lol, qtrmilebeast beat me to it. Thanks man!

superskaterxes 11-02-2011 06:08 PM

^^^^ this was pretty much my deciding factor.

i know charles beats the fuck out of his car and if the ACT can take his abuse im sure its fine. hes also got 25k miles on it so thats pretty good for all that abuse.

crazy send me a PM about where to buy

crazyp 11-02-2011 06:29 PM

yeah I can tell you guys beat on your cars way more than I do lol. Understatement at that. But if I could get this thing to launch correctly without slipping, dragstrip here I come

BlueDmnSpeed 11-02-2011 08:16 PM

Bet if you would have stuck with the original plan that night and gone to MIR like i wanted you would have broken 11's :-P lol. jp good shit bro. i can't wait for this weekend! Import vs Domestic down at MIR! hopefully i can run decent times!!

i8urgti 11-02-2011 11:48 PM

congrats ant, interesting to see that 60ft yielded you your best time yet. cut a low 1.7 or high 1.6 and you'll be there with @driver311

I have a faster 60ft unless there is time slips you didnt publish. I forsee an ACT in my future after the stock is roasted too, but the fastest 60ft was done on a stock clutch, stock turbo car.

dougefresh_ 11-03-2011 12:13 AM

Superskater breaks wind :fart:

Thats funny on my 11.74 pass my 60ft was 1.712 LOL So we are tied for stock clutch 60fts.

Ps. My 60fts were done on 3 degrees of negative camber. Today I put my car back to factory settings on alignment and it hooks up sooo much better with 0 camber. I really wish It would that way at the track. Im positive that I can cut mid 1.6 60fts with these settings.

what are your settings now?

you need to figure out exactly how much your front end lifts when you launch and then set your camber so your at exactly 0* when that happens. i would venture a guess you should be somewhere closer to -1.5* upfront.

why were you running -3*?

driver311 11-04-2011 06:29 AM

I was running -3f and -2r for autocross season. These settings got me very close to perfect tire temps up front across the tire. But the season is over now. I set the camber to -1 on all four

RichieRichness 11-04-2011 06:38 AM

I would have beat the 60 food record if my axle didn't snap!:damnit:

RichieRichness 11-04-2011 07:04 AM

superskaterxes 11-04-2011 07:10 AM

which run was that rich?

RichieRichness 11-04-2011 08:07 AM

Not sure what you ran but pretty sure it was your second to last run....right before your record and my broken asshole

its called MS6 is a chubby bitch lol

i think rich weighed in at 3750 which is 400 lbs more then your car. thats a 12.8 in MS3 territory.........

qtrmile beast 11-04-2011 10:14 AM

We are going to do some real weight reduction when we get back to the track, i am not liking your weight as i have explained this to you many times before. I am shooting for 3200 or below in mine... Picture this the first two speed6s in the US lining up and both run 11s at the same time EPIC!!!!!

redmnsterut 11-04-2011 11:33 AM

Thats sweet man, cant wait till there is a 11 sec Speed6 in the us

Wtf are you talking about? Im not comparing his car to mine. Trap is trap and 60ft is 60ft no matter what car. A 107 trap in his car is the same as it is in my car. IN fact most 107 trapping awd cars out et fwd 107 trapping cars. So your statement is confusing. Im saying he has a good 60ft and a good trap why no 12s? It has nothing to do with weight. His trap was 107 so the car is fast. He either must of missed a gear or just was slow shifting on that pass. Thats the only point I was making. 107 trap is great. Keep us the good work and the times will come.

That will be sick. I wish the track was still open around here. I would love to come play with you guys. Battling neck and neck with a speed 6 would be epic. Though Im sure my trap would go way up at a track at lower elevation like you guys use. I just might have to hit sacramento and find out. I gained 2-3mph in both my evo and srt down there. hhhhmmmmmm.

My best time was 13.2, best trap was 107 and best 60' was 1.798
I'm on left Attachment 43813

driver311 11-04-2011 01:00 PM

So not all on the same run I take it? Its cool man get a few more parts on there and you will be tearing it up. Great work bud

As long as it's no longer ur daily. You're not gonna like sub 3200lbs. I promise.

driver311 11-04-2011 01:30 PM

So ya mid 1.8 60ft and 105 trap makes more sense. Thats where I was confused. Itll happen bro just keep on working on it. You will be rockin 12.5s in no time.

qtrmile beast 11-06-2011 05:38 AM

One tranny down and one to go!!!!!
