Ok 11sec players on the east coast the track time has been moved up!! I ve been told that MIR will be open for a track rental on FEB 18th!!! So this I believe will be my first day back at the track.. How many of you are going to join me from the east coast?? More details later.....

charles, im assuming that i will either have to come down the 5th, or come down the 12th. so, can you possibly talk to jason and see what date suits him and is he going to be at the track rental too???

and tom. your dino ass will have to take off work on the 18th (its a friday) and you would sure as hell have to drive to my place.. lol. cause your place is COMPLETELY the other direction. hahaha. im going to be getting off work in the morning and take a quick nap, then go down. probably head out at maybe like 9:30 or 10am. but hell yeah man, it would be awesome if you could come down!!

Yea he is going to be there hopefully in his new 335xi!! i am going to send it out maybe friday so 3 weeks would be about the week of the 4th. also zach wants one as well so at the least it will go out on monday.. but jason is willing to tune anytime just have to call him!!

it would be 250 for the porting, plus 150ish for powdercoating. plus he would need your stock intake mani once you install the ported one. contact charles (quarter mile beast) if you are further interested.

$150 for power coating an im sounds pretty expensive to me.

That is because it is a candy paint is all if you want just a regular powder it will be slightly cheaper.. With the candy it is two coat process and you will have to pay for the first and 50% for the second coat..

No actual date on the car. From what he told me today im assuming another 3-4 weeks. Im just trying to be realistic. It sucks so bad not having a car for this long.

Charles what did you put down on the dyno?

Well i have not posted this because i wanted to go get it on a dyno jet to check the numbers as i was surprised. But this is what i put down last november on cpe dyno... I didnt have my ported intake, no meth, still with CPE's intercooler setup and running 19 psi... I take this dyno with a grain of salt until proven on a dynojet.. This is also untuned as i didnt have a boost controller to up my boost any so i just leaned the afrs down to about 11.8 and ran about 14-15o of timing. i think i was on the dyno for about 30-40 minutes til i gave up because i really wanted more boost..

will be getting back on the dyno sometime soon here and i will have more dyno plots for everyone to look at from both mustang and dynojet.... as well as some video to back it up!!! i plan to get the boost up to about 25-27 psi, i have my intake, meth and Intercooler setup that i wanted.. hopefully before my next track venture...

I have two questions, and I'm sorry if they've been answered elsewhere, but...

First, are you using the SB to tune, or something else?

Second, do you have any comments on the powerband shown there? I'm surprised you couldn't hold power out longer towards redline. You think you'll be able to improve that with tuning, or was boost tapering off, or was the dyno not reading RPM's exactly right...? What's up with that?

Either way, fantastic numbers man.

well to answer your question i am running the stanback and i have all the flashed as well as the BIG MAF flash. When i got on the dyno it was a spire of the moment thing as it was not planned. I had just installed my AEM true boost and it anyone has this thing you know it is sorta a pain in the rear to set up.

I was there helping someone install their meth and opportunity struck to see what kind of numbers i was doing not a tuning session. We both about 2 hours to play with. When i got my car on the dyno i tried a couple of times to get the boost up but the true boost was not workng for some reason and i didnt have time to unhook everything and use the standback as boost controller. so by this time my time was running really short so i just wanted to get the AFRs into the 11.5 area because we were going to the track the following day. Hence the reason for the other guy getting his meth installed..

I was having all kinds of other issues when on there as well, one being i was running my BOV VTA.. the reason for this is because i was building a 3.25 intake to go with the big maf i had and i forgot to weld in a recirc tube..Also i found out that my manifold had a slight crack in it. So with this and the boost issue grew fustrated as i knew i was not ready but i was being pressed so i only did about 4-5 runs and mostly to get the afrs a little leaner so i can have a little more power than i did before i go on the dyno.

As far as the other end i wasnt really concentrating on it much as my time on the dyno was short and i found myself rushing. So rather not mess anything up i just left it were it was.

Went to the track the next day and it showed how bad you need to recirculate your BOV . I did a 13.5@101 with a 2.0 60ft and every gear the car would bucket just like it did at the starting line all the way down the track.. So i gave up and only made two passes as i was mad.

Go the car BOV recirced and when to the track the next week and i broke into the 12's with nothing else done other then the recirc!! I ran a 12.6 that day but the track was too crowded to make another pass.

So i go back the next week(still nothing changed with the car) and i go faster only made 4 passes that day as well and my best was a 12.3@111


I believe i could have gone 11's that day but i had to leave the track and also the car started acting up on the last two runs so i shut it down for the day...

The number could be correct or if not close to correct but again i think that with that number i should have been in the 11's (maybe 11.7s) I was getting close but i done think i would have hit 11.7 that day maybe 11.9 or 12.0.. based on the dyno i think this is why my MPH is low as well i think should be in the 115-117 range...

no i dont have my slip as i wanted to post it in the 1/4 times slip section.

My 60 ft on that pass was a 1.75
my 1/8 ile mph was 87mph
my weight when i went to the track that day was 3410 without the driver..
