For the subframe you could lower the leading edge of the diffuser and create a panel over the subframe. Youn might have to find a way to limit the droop travel in the rear.

You also don't have to trim the diffuser at all. Parts that stick out beyond the bumper can still be effective. And given the ankle cutters out front it may look more cohesive all around.

I'd have to see about limiting the travel. Not a fan of putting anything under there thats going to cause ground clearence issues. The car already scrapes on everything.

Maybe something like a thin sheet of UHMW plastic could work, that way it could flex and scrape all it wants and not get damaged. There still lies the issue of having a giant hump in the middle of a flat undertray.

The whole undertay really needs to be lowered to clear the subframe without a hump.

Spent an afternoon at Toronto Motorsports Park on Sunday

Unfortunately the car was plagued with suspension, braking and overheating issues. I could not drive and corner the way I wanted and the track way really too slow to properly feel any benefits of the aero, if it actually does anything at all. At least I know where my problems lie and fixes will be pretty simple. I was slow as fuck but the car was a huge hit with everyone at the track.

One good thing is that Potenza RE71R tires are fucking amazing and provide stupid amounts of grip. This was probably there 1 and only track day, they will spend most of their time as street tires, the cold grip is incredible so they should work really nice.



I do have some cool pictures to share, but thats all unfortunately.

So uhhh, guess what this isn't dead and never really has been

Here are some pictures of my diffusing front splitter I've been working on. it will mate up to a full flat floor and vent into the fenderwells.




Some rear diffuser work, still in the early stages.

On the rear diffuser you could use a different profile in the middle and be more agressive where you have the room

I've joined a Facebook group called "time attack builders" and that vast amounts of information about aero setups. I've posted up a few times with my questions and ideas and so far everything seems to check out within reason. The goal at the end of the day is to have something that actually works to a reasonable extent and isn't just 50lb of cool looking plastic and wood.

Front splitter just needs tome front mounting cables and an air dam and it'll be complete. I'm picking up some very thin aluminum do channel air through the opening of the bumper and into the rad.

Thinking of making a larger front splitter that will extend past the wheels that I can easily bolt up. More on that later.


Rear diffuser is also done other than custom crashbar with mounting points. Plates have been welded into the chassis so I can bolt up the mounting arms.


Fender vents just got here from the laser cutter. If I have time tomorrow I'll see what it's going to take to install them.

With the extra downforce, you most likely want to go way stiffer with valving to match.

MCA assures me that the XR coilovers can absolutely handle much stiffer springs if needed and it won't upset the valving.

They say that whats provided will more than likely be suitable. I guess we'll see haha

hahaha, thanks man I'm glad you like it. I just remove the hood when I work on it, it currently doesn't close because the vent isn't done (hits things).

3/8" plywood, sealed and painted. Currently working on a composite model.


Bit of a delay as I was in Texas the last 2 weeks for work. I returned to boxes of parts that included MCA XR coilovers and I bunch or CS parts. I installed the coilovers up front and got the wheels mounted.

Coilovers up front weigh 13LB compared to the Koni's @ 17LB.


Wheels look awesome, front fenders are at my house getting the insides glassed to prevent flex and cracked flares. Doors are off so I can paint the car for the summer.





I think for the flat floor I'm going to do pink Styrofoam covered in fiberglass and west epoxy. It's light and easy to work with.

Sorry for the delay in updates, I've been working nonstop on the motor getting the car running. Car is now running on the base map and all the bodywork is mounted. Flat floor should be done this week and the rest of the car should be painted.
