The track has been decided. We'll be using US131 for our meet, I just gotta confirm with the manager on some details. This is a really nice facility, so it's not coming cheap. I want this to stay a "NATOR" meet, but if you have friends who are good ppl, family of Nator, bring them out! Racing fees will be prob the same as MNM, but spectator fees will be a little bit more. If you're racing, you don't have to pay an additional spectator fee. Also, I want to make it where there's no fee for children, since I know some ppl will be with their families.

@LynzeC; was kind enough to take time out of her day, and go check out the track, and meet the ppl there. Her's some pics she took:
















I'll post info for gingerman soon. It'll probably be $175, and $225 with instructor. I'm gonna try and get this down.

I'll go E hunting and get a list of gas stations nearby that have some. It's not very hard to find up here.

If all else fails, there is a gas station 5 minutes from me. I can always bring cans down with me and be the official "E Machine".

There are more that aren't on that list. They just put up a new shell with e on my way home from work (exit 4 I think on 196)

That dragstrip is great. I have run there before (did a few test and tune days). It is a professional track. It does have some race gas available (not sure it will be on our day).

We pay around $30 dls per car for road course and $5 dls for ulimited runs on the dragstrip!

Big update!!

I personally met the guys who run CGI on Monday at the track, and we've got everything in motion to get this started. I'll have the registration links posted hopefully tonight, and I'll start PMing ppl on the list for tracking.

The main thing... If we can get 25+ cars registered prior to July 26th, the whole track day is ours.

The costs are $180, and $220 with instruction.

For those looking to drive their cars fast in a safe and controlled environment with turns, look no further! Here's the registration links for the CGI Motorsports track day at Gingerman Raceway in MI:

If you have any questions on which group you think you should register for, feel free to shoot me a PM. I honestly recommend an instructor for anyone who questions whether of not they need one, has not tracked in awhile, or has not been to this track. There are class room sessions for the Novice group, which I recommend on everyone attending, unless you're a seasoned veteran of racing. Don't sign up for the "advance group" to be cool Mr hot shot, they'll knock you down at the track to a lower group.


Oh and the pricing is $220 for Novice, and $170 for Intermediate and Advance... not 180, I got the $10 knocked off after doing some maths with the person holding the registrations.

Any idea if we can move around groups? If I dont get out there again, Im probably a "Novice" but if I can get a test and tune or 2 in before august, I think I can go in as a Intermediate.

Just as an FYI any one who has never been on the track, the instructor is totally worth the money.

Is the track day a monday? If so i am not sure if i will be able to make it. Work is forcing me to use vacation days while they shut down the plant so not sure if i will have enough left

My last instructor got sick within 5 laps of starting the session.

Thankfully, it wasn't due to my driving and I ended up getting bumped up a group after the next instructor gave me a check ride.
