Awesome, so far looks like a lot of ppl want to track their shit. I'm hoping to get enough ppl to get pricing near $200 for the day with instruction. $150 for us pros who don't need it.

We're going to have shirts made for the meet, to represent sponsors and the meet itself. @Deldran; has offered to help with this.

Gonna try and get in contact with some vendors next week, so we can raffle parts, get stickers, goodie bags, etc. I'm also getting a vinyl cutter in a few weeks, and I can make stickers for the meet.

Need to tag @Captain KR; cause Kyle and I will need some dark meat in our ginger sammich. Also tag the locals.

I'll be offering up beds at the cabin to ppl, like yourself, who've let me crash on my trips... lol wait, I don't think I have enough beds for all the couches and guest rooms of those who've let me crash for a night. Oh well, we'll figure it out.

Also the hotels near the track are pretty dam cheap.

I'm about 4 hours from IL, 1 hour from Gingerman and 45 minutes from the Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids. I can give 2 people a place to stay if you don't mind a couch or a pull out bed, nothing too fancy but it beats a hotel.

Anyone interested, let me know.

I also wanted to point out, IIRC spectating at Gingerman is free, even if you don't necessarily want to track your car, you can still watch others beat on their's.

I'm hoping to get enough ppl to drag, so we can rent out the whole track for a day, and get it to near $50-75 a person wanting to do runs. I'm sure we'll do a few T&T's at both strips when it warms back up, cause we haven't really had any IL strip meets... to many slow cars.

That would be awesome of you. It looks like a decent amount of ppl want to go to MI for tracking, and we'll be there Sunday evening to Monday all day. I might stay Monday night, at the cabin, instead of driving back, IDK yet.

Sweet dude. I totally understand about being too far to track. You can still prob ride a few laps shotgun in one of the more experienced driver's cars.

Sweet, I should have the dates set in a few weeks, and I'll let you know to book it. I'm thinking a Saturday for the dyno, Sunday for the strip and Monday for the track.

It depends, they only allows ride-alongs with the advanced driver group.

It generally goes...
Beginner - new to tracking, or hasn't tracked in years
Intermediate - decent amount of time behind the wheel, not necessarily at Gingerman; or not as much seat time, but familiar with Gingerman
Advanced - lots of experience tracking
Instructors - run in the advance group with their cars, lots of experience at the track, or have raced at a competitive level

The only locals I know who've done a decent amount a trackdays are @Nliiitend1; and myself. @phate; does a lot of autox, I can't remember if he's done much on the road course.

IDK what everyone's track experience is. They might throw Alex and me in the advanced group. They put me in it last year, but I hadn't tracked at Gingerman since they updated turn 10, so I asked to run in intermediate. Also, there were less cars to hold up in intermediate, as I was tracking a Mazda5 with only suspension and tires. lol

You will need to provide your own helmet, SA2005 or newer.

I have an extra helmet, I'll let ppl use for ride alongs, or someone can borrow. Also you can purchase a brand new full face helmet for $250-300. I'd recommend the HJC AR-10 II. Open face helmets can be found for less than $150. I'll look into a couple places, to see if we can get rentals.
