Ok so I read the OP and the proposed dates. I'm not really sure if I'll be making this. The Evo/DSM shootout is around this time in Ohio and it's something I'm startingto build a car for next week.

After I get the official dates for both this and the shootout I'll make a definite decision. Flying out may be the easiest way...

Yes.. We will be broadcasting live on Sat at the Mazda Corral and then live STREAMING that whole weekend.

quick question about the helmets. ive autox for a while and i have an hjc cl-sp which is a closed face that they let me use, its dot and snell approved but my question is since it is closed face will it be okay to use. i know this probably sounds noobish,but this will be my first time at the strip or a roadcourse, just want all my ducks in a row before heading down

That's an M rated helmet, I believe. If they require SA helmets, no go. If M is OK, then it should be fine.

I use an M2005 closed-face (with the visor removed, of course) KBC helmet for track days. I have yet to run with a club "serious" enough that they require SA-rated helmets...

As Clint says, you should be fine.

I prefer the visor. I tend to forget to blink while racing....then my contacts dry out.....then it's a bad situation hahahaha.

They're 16" RX-7 FD wheels, with 245 nitto NT555R's on two of the wheels. Just keep an eye out on craigslist, you can find FD wheels for cheap.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure M2005 or newer are good. I can't remember if they even checked out helmets last time.
