hey where is the rest area that u are stopping at located because im going to be an hour north of the bridgewaters commons so it doesnt make sense to go an hour south just to go back north.

Its hard to really judge without knowing the behind the scenes, but you are absolutely correct. They way the show depicts it makes it seem like Sr. is a horrible Dad.

I definitely agree with you on that except this situation. Through this whole situation Mikey is the one I'm disappointed in most, just because I was very close with him.
This situation is weird, but it all boils down to a father trying to do whats best for his family AND his employees. Think about it this way, He wanted to make sure that his kids were going to be OK after he's gone. He asked Jr to come back after he fired him because he realized that the fight was more personal than business. Jr wants $XXXXXXXXX to come back, accountants went over the numbers and it would have resulted in 8 people getting layed off. Sr explained the situation, Jr just wanted the money. Don;t get me wrong, I think Jr is a good guy, hell he offered me a job at his new place, but not caring that 8 people would get layed off in an economy like this is just wrong, he makes enough money as it is. On top of that opening a competing shop 7 miles away knowing that there's a chance that you could put OCC out of business that employes about 60 people is wrong. All this while holding 20% of the company. Why would you want to put your own business out of business? And if he opened his eyes he'd realize that he would have gotten OCC after Sr retired, which most likely would have been soon. Now Jr knows what it's like to run a business and his business is fairly successful, so now Sr can rest easy knowing his oldest son can handle things on his own
As for Mikey, well let me put it this way, I'm sure you know how much he did at OCC. When his contract was up he tried to negociate to do even less for more money, Which basically meant he'd do absolutly nothing but physically be here. Obviously they said no and did not renew his contract for OCC, he was working for discovery the last year he was here. Had this not happened Mikey would not have done anything to pursue his career in art, which I believe he just sold a painting for $10,000. Now Sr knows that his youngest is doing what he loves and can make money at the same time.
His middle son owns Sr's old iron works shop. They spend New years day together and Sr is happy because he can see his grandchildren.
His daughter is a nurse in NYC and they are still talking.
Now I'm not saying Sr is not at fault, yeah he's being a douche cutting on JR all the time and how his business is going to fail. he definitely should be doing this a completely different way, BUT the 2 should realize that they would not be where they are had it not been for Sr. They all should let it go and just hash it out face to face. Just keep in mind that the editors would LOVE and it would be in their best interest to end the series with OCC closing it's doors for good. THAT's why they're spinning this situation towards Jr.
