(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I am not sure what more I can do to reduce KR at this point. I am going to try a v103c & give it 50 miles to settle in before logging. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I'll get a log of that. I just tested a v103 map, and it isn't helping. I'm going to go back to v102 & give it some miles. The thing that pisses me off is that I know of another guy with the same mods testing the same v103 maps & seeing way less KR than me. I am seriously close to selling this POS car before I throw a rod. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I tightened all the clamps i could find. The ones on both ends of the blue Cobb intake hose, on both ends of the hose from the turbo to the intercooler, on both ends of the hose between the intercooler & the intake... I'll try to find where the stock plastic inlet pipe connects to the turbo inlet & check that next if I can find it. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Well, I finally ripped the intercooler & battery out to get to the turbo inlet clamp. I tightened it down as far as I dare without stripping it. I didn't give it any miles, but I decided to take it for a run since this has helped so many others. Well, I'm still getting 1.4 KR in 4th & 4.9 KR in 3rd. (Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Its the fuel pump. If you see the fuel pressure line, it falls on its face just as the boost passes 15 psi & KR kicks up. Its the engine trying to keep AF in line. It is classic fuel pump failure. I should have figured it out much earlier in hindsight. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score One more thing. I believe this is also related to the P0421 CEL I have been seeing. It popped up again on that fuel cut run. I bet the exhaust is throwing the CEL because the AF is out of line going in. Id put money on it. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Well, I got the CP-E pump installed. I am paranoid shitless about it. The engine sounds like it has a slight tick (I only notice it with the hood up). It is also putting out a fair bit of white smoke (water vapor). There was a little water on the ground behind the exhaust. I took a log at idle & blipped the throttle (attached). There was no CEL. I am thinking about bringing it by the local shop just to make sure everything is a-ok. So many hoses & shit removing the intake & intercooler that I probably fucking forgot something... who knows. Updates to follow...

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Took another drive, went WOT in 3rd from 3k to 4k. AFR dropped nicely to ~10 & fuel pressure held, but KR jumped to 3.2. Definitely not the results I was looking for. A closer listen to the engine ticking definitely sounds like it is coming from where the FP is. Probably due to not oiling the spring before I put it it. I think it is safe enough to drive to work, though. I'm gonna give it about 50 miles, then run another log.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Yeah, me too... Everytime I drive my car, I'm expecting the engine to blow... I want to get rid of this car just for that reason...this sucks... Regarding your knock, make sure you put 93 octane in there, if not, add some octane booster; I've used NOS Octane Boost Racing Formula. Works pretty good.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Well, I threw some oct booster in the tank & filled it up. I drove around until I had over 50 miles since I bolted on the pump. I did a 3k - 4k in 4th, and it showed 1700+ FP, dropped to below 11 AFR & had 0.0 KR. So far, so good, even if the pump hasn't quieted down in the slightest... I'll venture a 3-6k run after lunch.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yeah, I get more KR on v103. It would make sense assuming I have an air leak between the maf & the turbo, and that v103 is giving me more sustained boost. I decided to play it save & flash back to v102 for now. Once Cobb releases their turbo inlet, I'm gonna bolt it on & put t-bolt clamps everywhere from the filter to the intake. If that doesn't fix it, I give up...

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I've begun wondering if it isn't possible that this could be a leak coming from my BOV? The only hoses without worm clamps are the ones from the BOV to the inlet. Maybe the BOV itself is leaking? I need to find a way to test this theory out.

| Not Ranked : 0 score A leak from the BOV won't cause it since it would mean less boost that you are running and the air would return to the intake of the turbo anyways. |
