Default Overboosting after FMIC

So I've had a CS TMIC installed on my car since the day I got it, and always seen 21-22psi max boost on hard pulls. Well temp here has gotten pretty hot, and last week I was noticing 190* BATs when sitting in traffic, so I figured this was due to heat soak and no airflow.

Fast forward to this past weekend, I installed a TR10 FMIC with CX Racing intercooler piping, everything bolted up, and test driving reveals overboost conditions. I can easily hit 24-26psi, and after some more testing I even hit 30psi without ever hitting max throttle.

After looking at the log, it looks like my throttle position was around 60-70% and I was hitting 30psi!

So...I hooked up an air compressor to my Recirc tube using a PVC fitting, and a 3in plug in the breather and regulating 15psi to the system, should I be hearing any air at all? I can feel air coming from my oil catch can area, but didn't know if that was because I was pressurizing the PCV system as well. Am I doing it correctly, or should I be doing something different?

BTW, my mods are JBR SRI, CX Racing fmic piping, tr10 core, sure motorsports catch can (if that matters) bnr s3 with cobb ebcs tuned at 21psi

Default

If the pressure drop across the new intercooler is lower than the previous intercooler, then you could well have overboost issues. You're gong to need to modify your tune.
