Startup issue after winter Hibernation

4 Attachment(s)
So after starting the car and logging at the same time i seem to have some weird issues. The car has been in the garage for like 4 months, ive started it with a few weeks apart just to make sure the engine starts ect.

Here's a few things that ive been doing to the car during its hibernation:
1) Battery has been charged today
2) Installed Simons 3" catback (not related to my issues ofc)
3) Installed Guardian Angel (no driving has been done, default 10 psi setting)
4) Ive been messing around with my OCC to get a better routing of the hoses
5) Cleaned some hoses/plastic details in the engine bay with Silishine spray

So here's my issue, when logging i dont get a reading on some values. Such as g/s and AFR. Also ignition timing was fixed to 12 degrees, even though load/rpm/app changed.
And some of the times the engine stalls after 1-2 secs, does this a few times and then fires up normally...

Ignition timing fixed to 12 degrees
MAF g/s reads 0 at all times
AFR is fixed to 14.81

So i checked my MAF sensor and it was DIIIIRTY. I dont have the CRC MAF Cleaner and all stores are closed today due to easter celebrations. My plan was to drive the car to work tomorrow because my gf really need her car back!

Question, can a dirty/broken MAF lead to weird readings like this?
Startup logs attached and also a log from frebruary 17th where things looked fine!

Yes, clean the shit out of your maf. Make sure it is completely sry before putting it back in and report back.

Also, closely check the wires on the maf connector and
Make sure non of them are fraying and/or broken.

Disconnected battery and MAF, cleaned it so it looked brand new. Logged... and no change!! :/

So i might be looking at a new MAF sensor. Have a friend with a -07 MS3, so im gonna switch to his maf and see what happens

I'd go with gas for the stalling/

Sure, that could make a diff but thats not a big problem. I had 25% E85 and 75% 91 in the tank when i put it in the garage. Rail pressure looks good as well

Gas and E separate.... just sayin.

Did you take the battery out to charge it or did you let it trickle charge on the car?

SpeedRebirth 04-02-2013 06:47 AM

Took it out and charged it at home. Im gonna fill up with 93 later when i get this figured out

Alright... MAF has been switched, and still same symptoms!

So i scanned the DTC codes and i got a little bit scared... 5 codes showing and they seem to relate to an electrical issue.

P0102
Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input

P0403
Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit Malfunction

P0443
Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Valve Circuit Malfunction

P2009
Intake Manifold Runner Control Circuit Low (Bank 1)

P2088
A Camshaft Position Actuator Control Circuit Low (Bank 1)

Whats your thoughts on this guys?

Have you tried re-flashing the map, to see if the issue persists? Sometimes this helps, for no good reason.

Ensure all connectors are plugged in entirely?

Fixed the issue!
It was the positive connection between the Add-A-Fuse and the fusesocket. I used the "ENG BAR" fuse spot to connect my Guardian Angel to. So now i need to find another spot for the GA fuse. What do you guys use? I Used this fuse spot because i saw someone else here that successfully used that one.

Removed the red wire with the blue fuse on it:

I purchased the GA so i can use it when i go BT this summer, in case you wondered ;)
