(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Backstory here is I had a buddy replace the VVT chain tensioner and actuator! As well as all the corresponding bolts and washers! At first I didn’t think it was timed right because it would idle weird and just overall didn’t feel right. At the time of that I also changed my oil over from PP to the rotella 5w-40. I then took it to a reputable shop in my area that works on mazda and fords and have done numerous repairs. I had him check everything out and he had found out that my spark plug in cylinder 3 was cracked and also damaged the boot of the coil pack so that was replaced. Also cleaned off the Timing cover because it was leaking oil. Replaced bolts, seals on timing cover and valve cover as well as the spark plugs! It runs perfectly fine but the noise that I heard AFTER the oil switch paired with the chain fixing is still there. It was never there before am I being paranoid or is it something wrong, any insight would be greatly appreciated. | Not Ranked : 0 score Video/sound clip is too short. Maybe at least 30 sec to a full minute just idling, please. Also check your dipstick on level ground and make sure the oil fill level is correct.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Your choice, just tell us which. These cars will be more noisy on startup.
