Ugh. We don't need a "responsible and friendly" Mazda3. If anyone wants a responsible and friendly Mazda3, they can buy the regular version. Give the enthusiasts what they want. They finally did it with the MX-5 after a decade or more of bloating and dumbing that car down. The current MX-5 is probably the best Miata made thus far. You still have it in you Mazda. Don't turn into Honda or Toyota, who both killed every respectible sports car chassis they ever made. Toyota can't even make a Supra by themselves. Truely sad.

Give us AWD with a 6-speed manual that handles like a RWD car. Don't give us the off the shelf 2.5T that was built for SUV's. Put a new top end on it. Shorten up the stroke. Give it more boost. Let it rev to 7,000 RPM. Require premium gas all the time. Give us fatter anti-sway bars, big brakes and Bilsteins, just like the MX-5. Give us tastful body mods that let everyone know the car means business. They threw the off the shelf 2.5T in the Mazda6, but it still looks like every other 6 out there. Finally, keep it under $30,000 base. What are you afraid of Mazda? The car will sell.... you've got every Mazdaspeed enthusiast hanging onto the 11+ year old MS3 they love to death because they are afraid to get rid of it. There is nothing else out there like it.
