(Thread Starter) | ![]() As development moves forward, the next-generation Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class continues to drop its camouflage. Despite seeing it testing three times now, these are the best shots yet with the least amount obfuscation to give a better idea of its front and rear styling. These photos plainly show the next GLK's two-bar grille up front, and the headlights appear to have a boxier interpretation of the ones on the latest C-Class, with which the CUV shares a platform. In profile, you can also make out the diagonal shape of the C-pillar and the blunter styling overall that Mercedes is beginning to use on its latest models. Out back, the taillights seem to have a similar wrap-around design as the latest C-Class Estate. As before, the GLK carries its modern Mercedes design touches inside, too. Like the latest C-Class, it features a big infotainment screen at the top of the center stack with three vents underneath. You can also just make out the two-pod instrument cluster with an info screen in the center. Unfortunately, there's still no word about when the new crossover might debut - or if it will even continue to use the GLK nomenclature - but it certainly looks to be coming along nicely. There's even a rumor that an AMG version could be on the way for the next gen using Mercedes' new 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8. Check out all of the latest spy shots in the gallery.Mercedes-Benz GLK spied with less camouflage originally appeared on Autoblog on Fri, 05 Sep 2014 18:58:00 EST.
