Official: Corvette C7 prototype now available as free DLC for Gran Turismo 5

Two weeks ago, a camouflaged C7 Corvette was spotted as a screen saver during demo mode in Gran Turismo 5. Today, the Corvette C7 Test Prototype can now be downloaded for free from the Playstation Store.

Chevrolet worked with GT5 developer Polyphony Digital to create an authentic version of the test car prototype that is still in the oven as it prepares for a reveal at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, from the wrinkles in the soft cladding to the "specific driving characteristics that are currently being tuned and refined."

It's the closest you'll get to being a genuine test driver, and you'll hear no complaints from us about gaining that experience in one of the most anticipated sports cars ever.
