Default Report: Jaguar SUV set to arrive in four years

Filed under: SUV, Jaguar, Rumormill, Luxury

Want the Jaguar of sport-utes? That'd be a Range Rover then. And it will be for another four years until Jag develops its own SUV.

The reports of a Jaguar ute come as the latest stage in a veritable onslaught of new products planned for the Coventry marque, which have included a new diesel four, all-wheel drive for the XJ sedan, a 3 Series rival and an XFR-S super sedan.

The SUV would naturally borrow heavily from its sister brand Land Rover, but in order to differentiate itself, would come in a more road-focused package to take on the likes of the BMW X5 and Porsche Cayenne at the upper end of the luxury crossover market.
