Default Report: Seat to build Audi Q3 in Spain

Audi has decided to hand production of its upcoming Q3 crossover to Seat, bringing around 700 new jobs to Spain's Cataluna region. In addition to 700 new jobs, Q3 production will help Seat recall the 800 workers it laid off during the global economic downturn.

Audi plans to train around 1,200 people with the help of Cataluna's government to build the Q3, but only has jobs for 700. New production will guarantee those workers will have employment for at least six months. Audi Q3 production is a huge boost for Seat and Spain's economy. Seat has been in hot water since the economic downturn, despite moving nearly 340,000 cars globally last year.
