(Thread Starter) | ![]() Jaguar looks to be hard at work on a new Track Edition of the company's already menacing XKR-S. Spy photographers spotted a more hardcore Track Edition testing at the Nürburgring recently, and while details are scarce, odds are the high horsepower coupe will serve as a suitable competitor to the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series, among others. The car we see here clearly wears a more aggressive front fascia with a deep front splitter and new canards as well as a massive, track inspired rear wing. The hood also wears substantially larger air outlets, which could hint to more power on hand. The current XKR-S, which we recently reviewed, dishes out 550 ponies. Indoors, the rear seats have been scrapped in favor of a roll bar, and our shooters say the meaner Jaguar corners like it's riding on significantly stiffer springs. Looks like fun.Mystery Jaguar XKR-S track pack caught testing originally appeared on Autoblog on Mon, 18 Jun 2012 13:30:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.
