If we came up with a list of our top "Best Day EVER" scenarios, we're pretty sure a straight-line race between the Corvette ZR1, Ferrari 599 GTB, Nissan GT-R and the Porsche 911 GT2 would be close to the top of our list. The scribes at Motor Trend were able to live that dream, but they threw us a bone by recording the supercar showdown for the world to see. Follow the jump to see the 638-hp ZR1 take on some of the best street metal from Italy, Germany, and Japan. We watched the video four times, if only to note the stark difference between the launches and finishes of four distinctly different supercars. Would've been better if they had a "random" Viper ACR come up from behind them and dust them all, lol.

ZR1 for the win! They should have ran a Ford GT too.

Dont make Ford GT anylonger. Also, what did everyone think was going to happen when they said "how far should we go? .... until we run out of pavement!" I'm not partial to any ONE of the cars in that video, but common sense tells you the ZR1 with its highest horsepower and lightweight would mile per hour the others. I personally dont say "poor GTR" .. because its probably an honor for Nissan to be compared and put up against the likes of Ferrari, ZR1 and GT2. For the price the GTR is still an exceptional value supercar and by a large margin (over $30K) the cheapest car in the comparo. The ZR1 is a monster though, but is it worth $30K over the price of a Z06? Only a few tenths and a few mph seperate the two in instrumented tests. But if you gotta say "hey look at my ZR1" and have deep pockets what does it matter eh? Nice vid though!

FordGT makes 535whp, that ZR1 makes 505whp..

what did you expect ? I do think th zr1 kicked ass though :)
