E85 Flex

Ok so I started noticing that every sheetz gas station is starting to put in flex fuel. Well me and some friends were having a debate about it and that it is considered E85. Well some peeps tested it out with an E85 tester and it checked out positive. Well I did some digging and found out that E85 has an ethanol blend of 51% to 85%. Flex fuel has a concentrated percentage of 51 so it is E85. I was wondering if flex fuel could be used on an E85 tune. Im still not convenienced because even though flex fuel is considered E85 I think it's a weaker blend. It seems to me it's like 91 oct compared to 93 oct, technically the same fuel but a weaker substance of the same. Any input would be appreciated.

Flex fuel is E85. All the cars with the yellow gas cap and Flex Fuel Emblem on the back, means E85.

Also, I've been running a 33% mix for a year now. Results are great. Recommend talking to Will or Ryan at PD Tuning but any known tuner will work too, about it. They can get you guys setup and making better hp/tq numbers.

Its just a pre blended mix. 51% is enough to reap the benefits of corn, the main reason people run full e85 is for ease of pumping.

Ahhhhh awesome ! Im starting to see flex fuel pop up areound here at every sheetz gas station and now Im slightly aroused at this information. Guess my next purchase is 5th port injection
