That's a damned expensive valve! Is there truly a benefit?

I tested two of those valves years ago. Both held pressure much better than the oem valve. But, both also caused fuel cut every time i tried to hold WOT to redline. The ms6 ecm is not happy if you hit 2074psi ever...

Is this site valid still? Mazda DISI High Pressure Rail Relief Valve | HPFPUpgrade.com

I know it says out of stock but they may still be able to get one..

Also is this a required mod for high hp cars? Or is this a mod just to eeeek out a few extra ponies from the stock injectors.. Also any one have the part number for the dealership?

They're banned for a reason.

L3K9-13-2J0 is the pressure relief valve.

It's not a mod. It's a wear item that should be replaced with oem every time.

No. High HP cars usually have various types of port injection (single port with 5th/6th port, single port with 1-2 nozzles of WMI, or multiport with individual port injectors for each cylinder and even one more meth injector).

So the gain from the extra pressure, like 1800PSI versus 2000-ish PSI is not that big, even though it can account for 8-10% of fuel headroom. I'd go some flavour of PI though.

Ok great info fellas..... I have a fully built car I just got back on the road after about 5 years... I have never had a problem with relief valves so this is my first rodeo!!! I appreciate everyone feedback... last question is where is the cheapest someone has found this valve...

I was told byou one dealership that it was only serviceable with the rail... and they wanted over 600 for it

You can do it. Takes about 30 minutes for a noon to replace with little swear words. Costs $120 for a new valve. I've always ordered from edgeautosport.

You are talking about the fuel pressure sensor, which has to be purchased with the fuel rail. The relief valve can be purchased separately, as @Varomnia; said.
