Thumbs up PTP HPRV Review >>>

I'm happy to report that with the addition of PTP's HPRV (2150psi rated) DJ and I were able to unlock enough fueling headroom with the stock injectors to produce over 400 AWHP on my EFR equipped MS6 while only targeting 2000 psi on Arizona 87~ octane pump gas (No Meth)!

We're confident that, with the new AP latency adjustability and better Chicago gas, we'll be able to hit almost 450 AWHP on the stock injectors with the addition of the relief valve and pre upgraded CP-E CDFP.

For anyone looking for more power on the stock injectors, this valve will definitely help you obtain it! It's a VERY easy install and I didn't have to remove anything other than a clip to put it in!

Cheers and thanks again to John from PTP for supplying us with this high quality HPRV!

I have been running one for months now, not really targeting higher fuel pressure just needed a new rv valve. I will be good to go when the time comes for more fuel.

How would this perform on an MS6 with just bolt-ons? I know we don't have fueling issues at that point but would it do anything?

How can you tell what the rated pressure is of the one they sent you? Was there markings on it?

I installed mine last weekend to replace a leaking one but didn't pay attention to what was sent. So far I'm happy with the results. My stock one must have been leaking for awhile because I have never had such consistent pressure vs. desired.

By increasing fuel pressure I do believe there are atomization benefits at any power level

2150psi is the standard valve. It came with a rubber cap that clearly read 2150.

Mine had a clear blue rubber cap but it didn't have any markings on it. I'll double check to be sure. Thanks for the heads up.

Deleted a couple of posts. Lets not get another thread closed by discussing things that require PTP to be a vendor to discuss. Only thing I can say is the staff wants to make sure we make the proper decision and do things in the right way, so we aren't rushing it.

I have the ptp valve sitting on a shelf, I need to install it already. My oem valve doesnt hold its rated pressure anymore but it holds fine at 1700psi.

Right now my fuel pressure in logs looks like this

18xx, 18xx, 19xx, 17xx, 17xx, 18xx, 18xx, 18xx, 19xx, 17xx, 17xx, 18xx, 19xx

Is this cycling between low 1700's and 1900's caused by the valve cracking open at 1870psi? I command 1750 on my map

how hard is the install? ptp says they're seeing 25 WHP and 30 WTQ with just the installation of the high pressure rail valve.

I love what you are doing Alpha, you got a great set up there and can't wait to see what happens when you really push that turbo. I don't even think you are using 50% of it's full potential.
Thanks a lot, and definitely... I wouldn't be surprised to see 550 AWHP out of this turbo.

If all goes well in the near future with injectors etc... I wouldn't mind goin 3.5bar with a little motor work just for kicks.

This. I shouldn't have to be continually cleaning GB talk out of this thread. Next time I have to delete a post over it, an infraction will be included.

Is this cycling between low 1700's and 1900's caused by the valve cracking open at 1870psi? I command 1750 on my map
Yes, and its playing havoc with your PCM/tune. If you were to put your car on the dyno, set the scaling to 1... you would see the up and down oscillations in power delivery because of the 200 psi swings in pressure.

Yes, even more if you get a tune to dial in the rail valve pressures.

I will post one here in a bit.
Hmm, waiting for log, definitely interested. Although that install how-to was for a speed 6, anyone got one for a 3? Apparently our tb coolant lines are in the way.

Yeah, just checked it out, shouldn't be a problem squeezing a rachet in there.

What pressure would you recommend for it, if I want to command say 1800-1900 psi?

What pressure would you recommend for it, if I want to command say 1800-1900 psi?
You will want to use a wrench to break it loose, then try to ratchet it off.

I really like the 2150 valve, it has supported just about every power level and turbo option out there.

Why not use the 2250psi unit? I know we cant use that high due to tuning restrictions, but I can't see a reason to buy anything lower.

There is a slight safety risk going too far above where you are tuning for. The valve can not flow as much as the pump can (I proved this when I requested more than 2073 PSI) and if the valve crack is too far over what you are tuning for it may be too late to help. That being said, it may be negligible, but something you need to be aware of.

That's what I figured also Erich. Any recommendations on what pressure if I want to command 1800 to 1900? I know ptp said 2150

Personally I would go with at least the 2150. You want to be at least future proofed for what the fuel system is capable of now. I am running the 2150 simply because it is the last valve the was on my car when we were doing the testing. If I were to buy one now, I would probably go 2250 and pray to the Cobb gods for fuel pressure sensor scaling. It is just important that somebody buying one of these is aware of the potential safety risk, no matter how negligible.
