Default Should I be worried

I installed my Autotech internals this weekend. When I was driving home after work noticed the FP dropped to 60-40. When I started to drive it returned to normal after about 1500-2000 RPM. Should I re cal my MAF to see if this fixes the problem. Thanks for your help

Went home this weekend and did it there. On the drive home the FP held strong above 1600 all the way home about 400 miles and on the way home from work today is when I noticed the drop. it only does it when it idle not driving.

did you install them backwards (it's easy to do this)? Did you torque down the internals? Did you forget the locking pieces in the collar?

I could have intalled them backwards. I did torque them down and the locks are there. looks like a late night for me to see if I put them in backwards.

60psi is the pressure from the ITFP, so I would be worried.

I suggest you take them out ASAP and check that you installed them correctly. You could have installed the lower retainer backwards.

You might also want to check your oil as there might be plenty of fuel mixed in there.

Alright, so we installed these twice and it's still reading between 56 and 61 at idle. We are thinking its a bad batch.

@JP@edgeautosport.com
@eric@edgeautosport

Can you guys help a brother out by getting him some new ones ASAP? He's out of a car until then.

Thanks you guys! We can send these ones back for warranty issues.

There is no scoring on the internals, We pulled the internals out, rechecked and relubricated them. Reinstalled and still same problem.

Running any kind of E? Clean spill valve?

But does sound like a bad internal.

You don't even have to lub the internals when you put them in.......just prime pump 10-15 times.

I am just trying to help. And BTW, If they made the mistake or possibly pitting it wrong does not really mean that they r very handy. And do not forget, we are human beings and we make mistakes.

he installed them himself the first time, we took them apart to see if there was a problem and there did not seem to be.

Right now its just a matter of him getting a new set and installing. The car ran fine with stock FP internals, never dropped under 1600 until he installed the new ones.

It might be possible that you blew your relief valve. With the car hot and off, does the fuel pressure climb to over 1600psi as the fuel heats up?

Do you mean the spill valve? The relief valve is not serviceable.
