Thats were we used to live before here back when the standback was the only tuning device. Us speed6s were doing all the work before you all came around and copied us....haha
I just linked it to show we seriously tried to get this going 4 years ago so this has been a long time coming.
Thanks to all here for all the hard work on making this happen. Sort of sucks I have no big valve head anymore, I dont know that this is even worth me getting as I will be using an uported head. I will wait and see.

or just the JM manifold, wouldnt mind seeing the difference on a BT car.

It wouldn't be much of test if he didn't have a base line with stock mani. I am sure he will have the numbers for both the stock and the new mani.

I think there are a lot of factors that will have to be considered if he shows before/after dyno numbers considering the hours of work that he put into head porting.

Flow bench numbers for each runner, stock vs. SD mani, are probably more telling, because car-to-car, there are too many variables.

If dturbo makes 500whp with stock mani ported, but 550whp with SD mani (with a tune to compensate), we won't be able to take the general assumption of a 50whp gain with this mani. Too many other variables dictate what the gain would be, and frankly if the stock IM outflows the head, what are the gains likely to be with the SD mani on a stock head, unported? Probably not significantly better than a ported stock IM.

Might be a good idea for people to consider at least port matching the head to the IM gasket to take advantage of this beast.

Can we get the vacuum pressure the flow benched was tested at. Industry standard is 28" of HG.

My engine builder told me some people fudge the tests to make things look better than they really are. I'm not saying the manifold is bad because I really want one. I just want to see apples to apples with the flow numbers.

Also should flow test the IM on a head and do the comparison that way. Making any part more efficient will see some gains but not worth the cost IMHO. JMF is doing this on a large turbo car because with more pressure pushes through some of the restrictions and will show more gains. I think the benefits over a quality ported stock mani and this on a stock turbo car will be negligible considering the costs. This mani is a big boy toy.

I don't think the folks that are buying this are worried about flow fellas. Its balance of flow across runners which is key. Everyone could benefit from running this manifold.

I think you guys are wrong, the IM should not be bolted to the head because the head flows less than the stock IM and any flow imbalance in the head could be compounded by any imbalance in the im. The IM should be tested on a sae bench at 28"h2o and there should be a radius in clay etc on both the runner and tb as per usual professional bench testing. The radius on both the JM and oem IM should be as close to identical as practical. The test should include 2 runners as a cylinder set and avg flow and % difference and % gain should be posted.

Since we all know the oem IM outflows even my ported head, flow almost isnt important. What is important is flow imbalance because on a precision tuned engine that is oem designed to run on the edge, a few % is alot.

Great improvement over the first version. Not as close to mine, but from a manufacturing standpoint this is easy to produce, and keeps the cost in check.

EDIT: All of these test were done at the industry standard 28" H2O, and on the exact same flow bench mine was tested on, with the same flow bench operator.

All boost no nitrous.. we will also run a 35psi run and 42psi run after the manifold is installed.

Thanks for the kind words guys!!

I talked to Jim yesterday, he has the test car, and is fitting the manifold to it as we type. The manifold fits the car quite nicely, and hope to be in the dyno very soon!!
