Default 17*9 30+ torque

I just pick up these rota torque's. There 17x9 +30 and currently wrapped in 235/45/17 tires, which came with the rims and are abused and camber wore to shit cause of the evo they came from lol. So now I need new tire but not sure what size I wanna go with. I would like to stick with a 45 series tire due to ride quality but was wondering if sense there a +30 rim if I could pull off 245/45/17 tires. I dunno here are picks as it is now with stock ride height, note I will be getting H&R ssprings by the end of the month.

I would move up to a 245/40. 45 will probably rub at that offset.

Are you sure those are 9" wide rims and not 8"??? I had 17x9 +42 and they looked like they stuck out more than those do with 12mm less offset. Somethin ain't adding up...

30 offset with spacers would push the wheels even farther out from the fenders and make rubbing worse.

You measured the outside edge to outside edge didn't you? It's an 8 inch rim from inside edge to inside edge where the tire mounts and that's the measurement to go by. Here's a 9" rim 30 offset in this thread here and they stick out a lot more than yours do. http://www.mazda3forums.com/index.php?topic=128937.0

I agree. That does NOT look anything like what I would expect a 17x9 et30 wheel to look like on an MS3...

Pull one of the wheels. There will be numbers cast into the back side of the spokes that have information about the wheels. Tell us what they say.
