225/45/18

i have a 07 speed 6 and im buying new tires but i want to go with a 225/45/18 instead of a 215/45/18 on the hankook ventus. my question is will i experience side wall flex with the 225/45/18. on my old car i went one size bigger and the car handled like mush but that was on a all season. let me know if i go one size bigger will it feel like mush or not?

i think that if you compare a 215-45 to a 225-45 of the same exact tire, you'll probably see slightly more flex because of the taller sidewall, but you're increasing height by 0.2 inches or something small like that... so it's not that significant... maybe when you go from 215-45 to 225-45, you could pick a slightly more aggressive tire with a slightly stiffer sidewall to compensate...

Same question here... I may go with the Bridgestone Potenza RE760 (harder sidewall) or the Hankook V12 (softer sidewall) in stock size...

I like my car running like if it was on rails...

would you guys recommend 225/45 or 225/40 on the stock ms6 wheels for my ms3?

I would go 225/45.
side wall height 215*.45= 96.75mm Stock
side wall height 225*.45= 101.25mm
side wall height 225*.40= 90.0mm

225/40 will look really small because of the massive wheel gap. The reason I went with 225/45 is because there are more options to choose from.
