(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score So since I'm poor, i found some tires on rims on my local classifieds for fairly cheap. They are 225/55r18. So basically i'm wondering if they will fit withouy rubbing.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I'm sure they would fit, you can make anything fit with enough persuasion, however I wouldn't do it. Keep looking around you can find some good stuff on Craigslist. Hell I just picked up some evo x Enkei's with almost brand new 235/40/18 tires (80-90% tread) for $500. Obviously you are on the spare so your are a bit limited on time but make sure you get the right size. I think most people with 18's go with 215/45 (stock), 225/45 (slightly wider and taller) , 235/40(wider and shorter, might rub), 245/40 (wider stock height, probably rub). Edit; the rubbing also depends on the offset of the wheel and your suspension.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I can't understand people asking these questions. So the stock tire height (measured from the rim lip to the ground) is 215*0.45 = 96.75mm. The tire you want to get is 225 * 0.55 = 123.75mm, so more than 1 inch higher That is a mazda cx5/cx7/SUV tire. So go with a stock size tire or a size close to stock. If you are poor then you should be wiser. Yes, those tires will fit to move the car in a parking lot, but the first big pothole compressing the suspension to the maximum and you will see your fenders flying.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Buy the tire, and get road hazard insurance. Discount auto is easier to work with than tire rack for the road hazard. My suggestion is go with 245/45/17s when you can afford it. That is really the answer,Going with 55s on a 18 is not a good idea. The 17 option is actually cheaper in the long run as 17s are quite a bit cheaper tire and you have more options. Plus you are in BC you should be on snow tires now. Canada Tire has a road hazard program you can buy into as well. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Ok, so heres an update. Found the tire at OK Tire. That is the ONLY people who carry it. I was going to get it, but I just realized something. So I have this job coming up with the Longshoreman's Union. Basically its dock work, good pay, yada yada. The problem is I have to wait for it. Its a garuenteed job, but I have to be able to go over the Coquihalla to get from Kelowna to Vancouver when they call me. These Primewell pz-900's do not have the snowflake meaning they aren't rated to go in extreme winter conditions (like over the Coquihalla). They could phone me any day and I would have to get my ass to Van. Now if I have these tires, I can't get to Van basically. So long story short, I have to buy 4 All-Season's that the snowflake rating, or 4 cheaper winters with a snowflake rating (obviously all-season's are preferred). So yeah...
