245/45/17 on 17x7.5 fit? 245/45/17 on 17x7.5 Rota Sub-Zero's with ET45 (+45 offset) for autox...will they fit? Falken 615's... |
Well people are running 235/40/18 on the stock 18x7 rims so it would stand to reason they would fit the rim itself. But with the 45 offset it could easily rub especially if you are not rolled. |
u will have no problem....enjoy |
unfortunately, I decided to go with 225/45/17 as I didn't want it to rub at autox...cheaper and lighter... JACK: I've read some of your posts on the other forums and your offset might help...I wish I went with it, but the higher price, weight and the POSSIBILITY it might rub, even (or especially) on the track, I couldn't stand...thanks tho... Next time? |
I think 225 is a much better width for a 7.5 inch rim. I have 7.5 inch rims myself and I am debating if I shoulf run a 235 or not on it since even that may be a bit wide. |
for autox use u want to have the widest tire u can put on the rims.....trim or roll your fender than u are good to go.....night and day with some 245 slicks |
I am running 18x7.5's with 235/40/18 all the way around...the backs rub on very hard dips in the road...that is the only time they rub. |
hmmm.,.for the streets, I run 235/40/18 on 18x8" RX8's on Cobb springs...never rubbed...and I try =) |
I have 235-45-17s on order, for my 17x7.5 Kosei's, 45mm offset. Mazdaspeed springs on the way too. These are the rims with my winter tires, i'll just swap them out with the 235's when they arrive. http://skiewert.com/dan/ms3/PB020017.JPG |
