245x40r18 with 18x8, fit a lowered speed3? Hey guys. So, I am thinking of selling my 18x7.5 Enkei's and getting a wider set-up. I was thinking about an 18x8 rim with a 245x40. The rims I am looking at have 2 offset options, 35 and 45. My speed3 is lowered on H&R springs which are getting changed for coils but the drop will remain the same(about 1.5 inches lower than stock). What would be the best offset for this set-up and would the 245's be too wide or would I need to go with 235's? I am getting my fenders rolled either way to make more room. Thanks |
If you're getting your fenders rolled... you'll be fine. To give you an idea, I can fit 255/45s on my car, no rubbing issues and a good two inches of clearance to drop the car if I want. This is without rolling my fenders. You should be fine. I'm sure you know that the 245s would be a better idea from the grip perspective, if you're truly concerned, talk to the people you're getting the tires from or look for tire conversion charts online. |
If you want 245's you are better off with the +45 offset wheels. |
Cool guys. I was thinking the +45 offset as well. |
